Franken Supports Package: "help create jobs and to help middle-class Minnesotans"
“There's a lot in here to help create jobs and to help middle-class Minnesotans weather this recession: tax cuts for working families, a payroll tax holiday, energy tax credits, and the extension of Recovery Act initiatives that are already making a difference. And a lot of harm would come to working families if unemployment insurance isn’t renewed"

This is just another boring, whiny DUmp thread, with a handful of negative, bitchy responses, lamenting the defection of the incompetent, fraudulently seated nutcase from Minnesota. One DUmmy's comment caught my eye.

3. Well. Franken was in DU's good graces longer than most Senators last
I guess he will be duly vilified now as a "corporate whore" and a Blue Dog sellout.

6. This really stings. I read his books and can't believe he would support this.
I guess he just really likes his job and all. Well, if he doesn't think all of this is going to hurt Minnesotans in the near future he has another think coming. Also, if these "Democrats" don't see extortion after extortion down the road from the Repukes they are closing their eyes.
What a load of crap. IMO.
Cry, cry, cry, but what about this one:

9. My thoughts exactly
It takes mere milliseconds to go from 'hero' to 'zero' around here. I cannot think of a single individual who hasn't inured the wrath of the hive - not one.
Someone has strayed outside the hive, reading the comments of decent and civilized people!

I'm pretty depressed that the republicans are going along on yet another pork fest. I see many more primaries for the RINOs.

Hmm has he ever even had one think to begin with?
:lmao:

Never ceases to amaze me how emotional and reactionary these creatures are. I think they should quarantine every poster at the DUmp and preform some sort of scientific evaluation to see what goes on in the area where a brain should be. As a service to humanity.
When the studies are concluded, put them on a ship bound for the middle of the ocean.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the idea the extending unemployment benefits boosts the economy. :???:

Hope you don't mind my little edit. After all, you were the one urging this "as a service to humanity". O-)

The repubs are foldin' up like bad origami! If they waited until January, we could tell Obwana to take a flyin' fig! He'd have to sign just the tax extensions by themselves if he wants to be seen outside the WH next year without gettin' pelted with rotten tomatoes!

You're right jukin.
This bill turned out to be a huge pork fest indeed. From extending the unemployment isurance and Bush Tax cuts to adding over billions and billions of dollars for pork.

And those Republicans who put the pork in there need to be primaried, and defeated in said primaries.
