We need to rush through the tax cut..that raises taxes on the poor????

If you make $20,000 or less your taxes rise under this plan. Just the kind of help poor people are looking for...the shaft.

I would think if you can post at DU all day, you could do an office job.
Then again you have to pass a drug test to do so, so forget it.

Bobo get off your ass and do something.
I work a job I don't like, doing things I can't stand yet, I drag my butt out of bed every day and go do that job.
If the politicians stop destroying the economy perhaps I can find something better but, until then I do my best and do without a lot of things that I would love to have. I'm so sick of the whining and crying at the DUmp from people who wouldn't know an honest day's work if it bit them in their lazy collective ass.

I could almost sleep in the back of my Century if I had to, but I'm close to six foot. If I was shorter, it might be tolerable.

All you do is sit on your ass, type a few things, make up some spreadsheets, maybe answer a phone call here & there. It's really that easy. But you would rather sit in your rusted up car, making everyone feel sorry for you.

How am I delving into your business by asking if you if there are opportunities for you to better your situation?

So if I am having a conversation with someone out of work and I may know something out there they could be doing and I suggest it, I'm delving into their personal business? It's certainly not something to get defensive about and ask outrageous, dramatic questions like "you would like us to hurl ourselves off a cliff for you?" It really would be nice if you could explain how I'm delving into your personal business.

My next question would have been which category do you fall under (too old, too sick, too injured) but I guess that would probably be too personal as well.

And what is really curious is that you say this forum is often ugly, yet you remain here?

Someone needs to remind the DUmbasses that those making 20K, with earned income credit, pay no taxes. In fact, they get money back.

My cousin's husband has scardosis, and it has basically destroyed his lungs. He is on oxygen 24 hours a day, and he is still working full time and hasn't even considered collecting unemployment. As far as he is concerned, he is able to work so he should work. He just can't do anything involving physical labor.

I look at him, and then I look at the DUmmies and think of how many of them would like to collect unemployment...
