I have been going back and forth between anger and depression
for the last month unable to decide which is stronger.
Then this morning, on my way to work, I passed an accident. A huge, gas guzzling SUV had hit a bicycle. As I looked at man with the bicycle helmet laying in gutter, his back tire under the SUV I thought, that is the picture of what our country has become.
I have not been able to stop crying since.
Somebody tell me something positive.

Do this and everything will be just hunky-dory:

Well, DUmmy, the moral of this bouncy story is that it's much, much better to be the hammer than the nail.

I think that might have been the subject of a Simon & Garfunkel song on the Bridge Over Troubled Water album. Just as true today.

With a V-belt and an old generator, we could have the start of a DU 'Alternative energy' forum here.

I thought to merely comment on the triumph of an SUV over the stupidity of a bicyclist but then I re-read the piece. Wow. I began to chuckle just a bit.

The writer of this sentence should be charged with felonious language abuse. Someone, anyone, call the grammar police. Is this sentence an example of what the state of language has become??

I suppose rainbowreflect would be feeling much better if it had been a gas sipping hybrid that had hit the bicycle rider.

I think the ping pong between hate and suicide has been going on for most of it's life.

Well, with the accident... would the OP have felt better if it were a Nissan Leaf or a Smartcar that hit the bicyclist?

Or the razor blade on the wrist . . .

If the bicycle rider had been riding an old Huffy, the people in the SMART car would have gotten the worst end of that crash.
Women driving a SMART car picked up her tall, skinny son at school yesterday. All the other kids were pointing and laughing at the 'thing'. The tall, skinny boy was noticeably embarrassed.... :-)
That 'thang' looks very dangerous.
I will not drive a SMART car.
I will not drive a SMART car.
I will not drive a SMART car.
I will not drive a SMART car.
