Breaking on Hartmann
Peter De Fazio was JUST ON. The WHOLE DEMOCRATIC Caucus will NOT let this abomination come to the floor...

4. Amazing, there are still DEMOCRATS serving in the Congress.
It's a nice thing to see.

6. Only problem is, in 3 weeks, it's a Repuke House.
So, it will just get brought up anew and passed.
But, I'm thrilled they took a stand.

10. well, then the Repukes will own it ...
... and if O has one cojone left, he'll veto it on that principle alone, regardless of it being 'his idea' in the first place.

12. Yes, but passing this even with a republican house will not be easy and it goes with things like having to do tax law retroactive.
This is also changing the dynamics in DC as well, since this was done by so many people calling et al. I gave up on the phone and FINALLY sent an EMAIL... I just could not get through.

17. Won't the Republicans need 60 votes?
...or is THAT just for Democrats?

7. Good. Looks to me like Obama learned from the HC debate
Congress has options. They can take his starting point, and make it better.
The "spine injection" has always been needed in congress, not in Obama.

9. Learned what??
Most democrats had little knowledge of what was even in this bill until the president got up to speak. He was working with republicans on it, not the dems.

14. Yeah, that sure gave us the idea the dems work together. When I heard that all I could think was WTF, he works with the republicans on it, not the dems, and then surprises the dems.

This is triangulation, and badly done mind you.

15. Also Reported On MSNBC...
The White House has lost the Progressive Caucus on this one and that's enough votes to prevent anything the Senate decides on from passing. A definitely slap at the White House and could unravel the whole shooting match.

16. Excellent!

19. Cool!!!
It is nice to have Obama "compromising" with Democrats for once!
...or will Democrats get the Iron Fist?

Yep, it's that time again. Always fun to watch.

It's about time. The Democrats finally went on record as supporting tax hikes for all Americans.

What gets me are posts like this(from a different thread):

3. I applaud those House Democrats for standing up.
These Democrats are showing the spine I wish Obama had.
Recommended.

These Congressional Dems are obviously, at least to normal thinking people, putting on a show for the kooks that make up their base, but the primitives are too stupid to see they're being fooled. I consistently underestimate just how dumb and easy-to-fool the primitives are. Hard to imagine individuals being so willingly used.

Kind of screws up their idea of smearing the GOP Senators as standing in the way of tax cuts for 98% of Americans, since functionally the House Dems have now pulled a mirror image move.
-
Are they not aware that if it doesn't pass now it will pass when the new Congress is seated?
-
The DUmp has no idea that this is simply a temporary, tiny sop thrown to the moonbats. Even the arrogant DUmmy nadinbrzezshzinszhki, the self-admitted smartest person in the DUmp, has been duped. Their impotent fury when the deal is finally passed will be a beautiful thing to behold, and we don't have long to wait.

One way or another, that's true. At this point I'd prefer to see the entire Congress freeze up completely over this until the new one is seated, it will cut down drastically on the crazy bullshit Pelosi and Reid want to ram through in the last days of the lame duck session.

And Boehner, et al, better be on the airwaves 24/7 blasting that one out.

:lmao:
Her posts invariably bore me to tears. I skip em.
The gullibility of the DUmp is on display whenever they tell a bouncy tale. They fall for it, high-five each other, K&R, say "you go girl" and the like. It's sickening. I'm surprised they haven't been conned out of what few coins they have.

I'm with DAT!
My congressc*nt is a straight down the line Nazi Pelosi vote and a real moonbat (but I repeat myself). I think the deal is a bad one, particularly given that we have the power and the donks will be gone in a matter of weeks. I called her office to say that I was very adamantly opposed to the deal. The UE extensions for 13 months is a REAL COST and it's price tag is $160 billion.
Also shows that the donks are all about power and are ideologues. Gives the least experienced president in our history a nice big bloody nose. Lastly, anything to keep gridlock in this lame duck session is a win. Even if this only delays the damage from the progressives for a day or two it is good. With luck the budget and tax legislation will never get the votes and nothing happens in the senate.

What the primitives fail to rrealize is that Wall Street is going to take notice and act, probably by next Wednesday. The Dow will plunge 1000+ points, and it will be because of the Regressive Caucus. It doesn't matter whether or not the Republicans reintroduce the bill next session. The fallout will be pretty intense.

Sounds like a fantastic buying opportunity the week after that...

Now who are the hostage holders? Just wait until after the 15th of the month, when the stock market goes into a selloff meltdown.
