Thanks, everyone.  I have actually had a rather good day, although my husband is away on a business trip to Tampa this week.  He had flowers delivered this afternoon.  Then my daughter cooked chicken and dumplings and bought a cake, and gave me flowers and a DVD.  My son gets his first paycheck Friday so gave me an IOU. :wink:

This birthday beats the heck out of ones when hubby would be deployed and the kids too young to hardly understand anything, let alone birthdays.  OTOH, I wasn't so darn old. :bawl:

Oh well, it beats the alternative.

When did you lose your mom?  Mine would have turned 72 this past July, but she's been gone for 12  years now.  We never quit missing those we love, that's for certain. :bawl:

She passed in July of 75.

Thanks again, everyone for your birthday greetings.

Longview, my daughter cooked me chicken and dumplings and gave me a DVD (Night at the Roxbury-luv the music in it!) and flowers.  Hubby sent flowers since he's in Tampa this week for a business trip.  My son gets paid in two days, first paycheck, so I have an IOU.   :wink:

The celebrations continue.  Heh just informed my husband he's taking me to the swankiest restaurant in town this Saturday.  Flowers are nice, but nothing says LOVE like a great cut of beef and a glass of red wine. :-)
