DU consists of the smartest people on the planet. So where is the Obama psychological guide I’ve desperately looked for? Have I missed it? I’d even settle for a well written web page devoted to Obama’s pathos. If we’re going to have to put up with it then we might as well understand it.

Then drop a lot of what he said campaigning, look at WHO he appointed, and listen to him now.
I think he's being very direct. It's just not the presidency that a lot of people expected.

This president has done little so far to truly surprise me. He has stuck pretty damn close to his original agenda setting aside all the financial stuff that had to be done.
But then I am not looking for a reason to hate him.
I am actually quite impressed with what this president has accomplished be it HCR or stem cell research or lilly led better or credit card reform and banking reform the list goes on and on. He has done an incredible job in my opinion given the circumstances he had to work with.complete control of congress and this was his best?
If there was one thing i would change about this president it would be his willingness to plod ahead without grandstanding on his accomplishments but then I doubt he would have accomplished as much as he has if he had.He can't help but grandstand. His recent trip to Afghanistan was near the anniversary of his announcing the troop surge there.

I believe he had no idea what he was getting into when he made all his campaign promises.
Then the presidency comes around, and the few, unnamed people with more power than CEOs and special interests came down on him.
Affirmative Action doesn't require competence or ability.

In other words, Candidate Obama told us he would be a Progressive Democrat, President Obama has shown us at every step along the way, with each and every decision, that he definitely is a center-right Republican.
He was a multi-millionaire before he took office. Perhaps the reality of his new found status took a while to hit home for him. "Hey, wait a minute. I'm frickin' RICH."

You can't wander through the dump these days without tripping over another thread bashing "Teh Wun". But, I have yet to see anyone guestioning what damage, if any, Obie is doing to the prospects of future persons of color who might seek the nation's highest office (along the line of "this is all the result of 'carpet baggers and scalawags'," a reconstruction south type post on the line of ruining the chances for a true 'noble savage').
And, for the record, we don't all agree he is not stupid.
I suspect Principal Skinner will have to take the same action he took with the Hezbola Helen Thomas threadz.

And no, he isn't stupid. Neither is he any kind of sooper genius, either. He's just a guy, no more smart or stupid or venal or altruistic or RIGHT by any circumstance of birth or upbringing or divinely chosen than any of a million other guys would have been.

Well if they're the smartest people on the planet how is it they're still being beat by us white trash, cracker hicks? And wouldn't you think people that smart wouldn't be so easily duped? However, if they think 0bama isn't a far left politician then they've obviously missed the Apology World Tour" floor show followed by the "We're Gonna Stimulate Until the Country's Broke" passion play.
Oh, and here's a tip: when you get more campaign money from AIG, Goldman Sachs, BP, etc. than any other politician it's a sure bet he's gonna be greasing someone's palm. 0bama is the king of backroom deals and thinks he can do anything he wants since no one's been willing to make him stop the train wreck.
Of course being the most corrupt administration in the history of this country doesn't help either. But hey, us white cracker hicks tried to warn you. You probably didn't hear us since we spend so much time in church clinging to our shotguns. Easier to kill Bambi on the way home for Sunday dinner.

The problem lies in the fact that the DUmors got what they voted for and now it ain't working! They don't like rock solid PROOF that their ideology does not and will not work.
