Title: High School Player Flagged For Touchdown Nod to God
Post by: Habsfan on December 04, 2010, 07:56:59 PM
Quote
A high school football player in Tacoma, Wash., got flagged for dropping to his knee and pointing to the sky after scoring a touchdown during a playoff game.

"It's just something I do every time I get in the end zone,” said Ronnie Hastie, a Tumwater High School running back. “To honor my Lord because I play for him. I give him the glory because he's the one that gives me the strength."

Although Hastie’s strength may be divine, high school referees are apparently not.

He was called for unsportsmanlike conduct, a 15 yard penalty—the same amount of yards a lineman would receive after steamrolling a quarterback well after a play.

He apparently broke a Washington Interscholastic Activities Association rule that bans players from drawing attention to themselves.

“I thought it was pretty crummy that kids can't give thanks in public," one Tumwater fan told Q13 FOX.

What on earth does the rule to not draw attention to themselves mean.?

That's one of the absolute stupidest things I've ever read. Let them be, refs! He's not doing an OchoStinko Irish jig in the endzone.

Idiots!

What if the kid had an uncontrollable itch in his armpit just after he'd scored his touchdown and absolutely had to scratch it? His arm is sticking up in the air and he's scratching his armpit.

How is that different than some kid showboating how big his 'nads are after scoring a TD? You know, the one where the kid is strutting around like a little peacock?

Asshats. They can't discern the difference, so everybody is at fault. Classic bureaucracy.

If he was a muzzie who bowed to Mecca I bet the ref wouldn't have done this.

Where was it I read that some ivy league College had to set aside a room under the stands for the Muslim students that bitched that they had to leave a football game often as the game went into their prayer time. What about the Christian, Buddest, Hindu and even the kids that are into Satan and Voodoo going to go ?  Will the Muslim players have to stop the game to run in and pray.?

Big money was spent so the Muslims could run out say a few prayers and get back at the end of the half time show.

Now the question of the day,--

When do we have to set aside room for the Muslim kids in Highschool to pray.  How will the schools work around that time so they do not miss their classes.

The door to total chaos is open a crack and soon someone will force it wide open.

Answer, we shouldn't.
Then what, build a room for Catholics to pray? A room for Orthodox Greeks to pray? A room for Hebrews to pray?
See, liberalism is a mental disorder. That is where the problem lies.
