Call It What It Is: TREASON

when republicans are undermining our national security so they can keep living high on the hog, stop calling it anything else what it is.

it is simply treason.

don't **** around, don't play half handed with it, don't make excuses in the name of political correctness, call it what the **** it is.

cause I guaran-*******-tee you that if democrats were doing some shit like this, the right wing would be calling for all of us to be lined up and shot or sent to concentration camps.

when you're willing to undermine our national security during a time of war by holding a NUCLEAR ARMS TREATY that DIRECTLY impacts our ability to handle north korea or iran and undermines our troops and intelligence services in the field, in the name of getting 3% for the koch brothers so they keep only paying 10%

it's ****ing treason

end of story.

So wanting to maintain the status quo rather than weakening our position, which this treaty will do, is treason?  Selling out the country like Obama has been doing is more treasonous.

I think "King" is from the BanTheGOP School of Rational Thought.  :mental:  or overdue for his next rabies shot -- either/or . . .

I thought we settled this shit in 1776.

We are not beholden to any government that considers disagreement with the king to be treason.

So what do they call it when Jimmy the Peanut gave away the Panama Canal and let our hostages stew for 444 days?

Signing an agreement with the Russians is a guarantee of world peace?!?  How did THAT one ever work out for anyone?  There is a little descriptive phrase from the aerospace or engineering world that goes something like "...Broken as often as a Russian promise."

I've got nothing against being on the best terms possible with them, but seriously, nobody in their right mind thinks treaties actually mean anything to them besides bolstering the current Big Manski's credentials as a world leader.

This treaty isn't worth considering and the GOP is probably doing Obama a favor on this one.  It is probably DOA in the Senate, it won't even have enough Democratic support.

22. Wrong. The Republicans are destroying the United States from within.
That is their goal. They are at war with the American people. Just because there is no shooting or bombing yet does not make it any less a war.
 :rotf:
Take another hit from the bong.

I seem to remember reading an article years ago that discussed the Soviets and one of our treaties. If I remember correctly the treaty called for a certain number of subs to be destroyed. The Soviets would destroy them by cutting them in half. As soon as the subs were added to the destroyed list the Soviets would secretly weld them back together, update them, and put them back in service.

Is there any truth to this? Is it even possible?

It's been alot longer than a few years if I remember correctly LOL I also seem to remember the upgrade was adding a new section between the cuts so actually what was happening was just part of the normal shipyard process. The inspectors would come in, see the pieces, check that one off and when they left the new piece was slipped in place, welded up and the boat renamed.

OK, as a casual observer of the DU for only a few years I have to ask, were they this nutso when they took over in 06 and 08? or is being nutso or nutso'er only reserved for when they lose elections? or just when the Holidays are going on? or is this their everyday miserable personalities?

They're always miserable, and that's the only time their happy.  They will have a new focus for their bile when the new congress is sworn in.  They are at their best, or worst when they have a common enemy.  Without a Republican target to focus on they start to eat their own.  I think there have been more bannings since Obama was sworn in than ever before.
