48. Gitmo prisoners are safer in Gitmo
If you place them amongst hardened criminals, they could be killed.

I really do not understand their thinking

Not to mention that when they are released, they return to the field of combat, where they could be killed.
I don't see the downside.

I think the point here is the dump doesn't consider Gitmo terrorists as HARDENED CRIMINALS

I don't either.
I consider them "future potential targets".

Knowing the Dummies and their feelings about the U.S. Military...the "hardened criminals" that GolfGuru refers to are soldiers on the battlefield.

If we must close Gitmo, I say we hold a big ceremony thanking them each and every one, with a small cash bonus and a low-level service medal (classified citation) for their invaluable assistance in the GWOT and the eradication of unrepentant terrorists. Then let them go in Waziristan.

I agree. I thin k they would be attacked and possibly killed, if put into general population prisons.
Do I have a problem with that? Not at all.

You misspelled Washington DC. :whistling:

Oh, I think Waziristan would work just fine for what I have in mind...

The only problem I see is the hardened criminals will become heroes for taking out the trash. :-)
On second though I can live with that.
-
I would almost give thought to an early parol to anyone that offs one of Osama's wierd beard clan. Hell let them share jail space with Charlie Manson if hes still around.

Or we could just take them out for ice cream on a tropical island.

There wouldn't be other jihadis with knives and guns who thought the released assholes had sold them down the river on a tropical island, now would there?
:hammer:
