PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. -- The death a woman found lying in her yard was caused by an accident, according to the Paulding County Coroner's Office.
A neighboring couple found the 63-year-old victim unconscious, half-naked and bleeding, lying face-down in her front yard on Friday morning.
"She looked like she wasn't breathing. She looked like she'd been there for a while. She looked like she'd been rolling around in the mud for a while," said neighbor Randy Brown.

Brown said he found the victim's pants and underwear nearby. An overturned plate of Thanksgiving food was on the stairs leading up to her home on William Drive, just outside of Dallas, Ga.

*snip*
Investigators originally said they were investigating the incident as a homicide by assault, but after a Saturday morning autopsy, a representative from the coroner's office said the woman fell down her front steps and died.

I guess whether it's suspicious or not kind of depends on how people in that part of Georgia normally go about eating their Thanksgiving meals.

Scenerio here,

The woman answers a knock on the door and a man tells her he is hungry.  She goes back to the kitchen and loads up a plate of food for him.

This Dude wants money not food and is enraged when she comes out with food.

He belts her in the head, rapes her and she dies from the knock on the head.

The dude runs when he realises the woman is dead and heads for BUBBAS house, his cousin  and a  local law enforcement officer in a neighboring town.

I could believe the alcohol part if it had not been for the plate of food and her  clothing being removed.

To believe the police, this woman takes a plate of food to the porch to eat herself,  she is drunk and falls off the porch knocking herself out.  She awakes and removes her pants and panties then rolls in the mud and dies.

I hear a banjo playing in the background here and Burt Reynolds slinking about her back yard.
