Never, never say that you're having a pot luck dinner. DUmmies will flock around worse than flies.

I get a kick out of the "medical reasons" poll. Medical reasons? Really? I was told it does nothing for medical reasons.
You get much more toxins from it than "medical" help. Keep on smokin' it and being more a DUmmy though. That's EXACTLY the plan of the lord nothing and Soros. They want a nation of idiots to take over.

One of the whole problems with the "war on drugs" is the grossly excessive powers the federal government has received to fight it. Like search and seizure powers.
I know - "don't do the crime and won't do the time" but it's still a bad precedent to establish.
We've tried harsher penalties and yet the jails still fill with low level drug offenders.
We've tried more relaxed penalties and the jails still fill with low level drug offenders.
I don't pretend to have a solution but we clearly aren't doing something right and the amount of treasure being blown on the whole thing is disgusting.

You look at the issue from the Libertarian standpoint.
They look at the issue from the Hedonistic standpoint.

How about this. You get legalized pot on the left and we get fully automatic weapons to deal with all the crime ?
-
Everytime I see this thread, I see "Pol Pot should be legal." And then I do a WTF???
-
Legal? Only if we are going to have implied-consent blood/urine test laws on top of breath testing (Turn down the test, lose your license). I don't really want to go there.
I personally think actually legalizing it, as opposed to just reducing it to a low-level infraction rather than a serious offense, is one step too far, and if it is legalized, a couple of years down the road productivity for an awful lot of the workforce is going to look like we hired a bunch of French Teamsters who immediately went on a work slow-down and/or got Alzheimer's, then started phoning every sandwich and pizza delivery joint within driving range.

I just checked this thread. I wonder who the three people are that voted "never" so far? Earlier today, they were all upset that Willie Nelson had been busted for pot possession and it stirred up the hive.

:lmao: "The Hive" Thank god the Red Queen (Skinner) has kept it locked down. We don't want them escaping to infect civilization. :rotf:

Actually RedQueen is an entirely different DUmmy, she used to use a thumbnail of a fairly attractive redhead for an avatar which may possibly have been her. She was rather intelligent but a pretty seriously-militant Leftie, the sort you can imagine turning in a family member for counterrevolutionary thought. I haven't seen her post in a long time, but then again I mostly read DU via the radioactive material-handling waldoes of this site anymore, so she may still be active.
