Help DU pay it's legal bill!!!

Today Skinner posted a Cease and Desist letter that DU had to send to some disruptor. Of course, this was drafted by a lawyer, and law firms cost money. It's a shame that DU has to dip into donations to pay for this shit, but that's life. I am really proud of Skinner for doing what he did. He could have ignored it, but he chose to spend money to protect DU's members. For that, I kicked in $20 to DU and gave a star to a DUer in need.

I urge you to do the same. Kick in some money and get yourself or someone else a star. Help DU out on this one. We know they'll protect the membership when it matters.

DU Donation
xxxxxxx: Recipient of donor star, Bleachers7: Donor
$19.00 1 $19.00
Add special instructions to seller
Subtotal: $19.00
Shipping and Handling: $1.00

Total: $20.00 USD

franksolich however remains highly confused.

It's true that the former moderator could do reputational damage to Skins's island--as if Skins's island had any reputation left over to damage, after what Pedro Picasso did to it a year ago--but how did the actions of the former moderator harm the primitives in particular, this "protect DU members" thing?

Anyway.

A few primitives allege they contributed, and then it turns into Big-Jerry's-salon-bashing:

7. The names I see aren't those lunatics.

It's another set. Some of which I liked. That makes it a little depressing.

11. From the link I saw, it appeared like some booted off Obama supporters.

You know what they say about making assumptions...

14. Maybe so, but I didn't see any link to the site in question.

And I'm constantly hearing about this "site that can't be named" and the Hillary44 deal, among others, and it gets confusing for those of us who haven't been members that long. Alot of this kind of inner dynamic is difficult for even a long-time lurker to understand unless they join and actually start participating.

It was a legitimate question.

I think the applesaucenow primitive is going to have to wait a long time for an answer.

I'm glad I'm not a part of a site with an ideology so fragile, dishonest, and  twisted it has to be guarded and protected from possible ridicule and exposure.

Hey, $kinner!  The truth doesn't need walls.  Try it sometimes.

Shouldn't they be raising money for the homeless or the uninsured or something?

Interupting this thread for a public service announcement.  I noticed something unusual...perhaps it has been going on for awhile now...and that is Buttsniffa didn't capitalize the "L" in play.  My question is has he matured beyond his little third grade level antics, did he make an error or did he stop doing this little retarded stunt long ago?  Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Ahh.................I see one of our members at that campfire.........don't forget to shower afterwards.

I thought the primitives supported whistle blowers and such...........or is this like the primitives thoughts on freedom of speech
