I see the chickenhawks are poking their heads out (re: North Korea)
Haven't really seen any of the national right-wing warmongers on TV, but I've already seen several of their followers posting comments on CNN and my local newspaper's website. Typical simplistic, jingoistic "hell yeah, we should bomb the shit out of them, show them who's boss, **** YEAH" stuff. Typical chickenhawk comments from a bunch of people who likely have never seen a day of combat in their lives and who wouldn't actually do any of the fighting themselves, but have no qualms about sending their neighbor's son to his death.
Thing that scares me is if we lose the White House in 2012, these chickenhawks will be in control. I have a feeling they've been itching to live out their GI Joe fantasies, who think that Team America was a blueprint for how we should conduct foreign policy.

Do we wring our hands until they discover that they need to be friends with the rest of the world? I figure they're going to sell nukes to the jihadists before that happens.
The Western world should have neutralized NK a long time ago. The fact is, the longer we wait, the more hazardous it becomes. Maybe South Korea has enough of it's shit together to figure out how to finish the sixty year old war.

What once could have been dismissed as paranoia back in 2009 could very easily become a reality. Commander-in-Chief Sarah Palin. Think long and hard about that, the ramifications of what that means. Someone who has never served a single day in the Armed Forces - not even the National Guard, surrounded by a bunch of chickenhawk Teabagger advisors. I shudder to think of what a Palin presidency would do to our country. I have a feeling that she could make Bush & Cheney look like a bunch of pacifists by comparison.
Just reason #47 that we absolutely cannot afford to let these people win.

I've never served a day and I can still see the benefits of having a North Korea that lacks Lil Kimmie dong pull and his sycophants.
If that means a a few cans of Bikini Atoll Sunrise delivered to Pyongyang so be it. The long term benefits far outweigh the short term disorder and the long term realities of maintaining the status quot.

History has demonstrated pretty well that a Conservative President putting us into a conflict on fundamental principles is a whole lot less dangerous than a Liberal one plunging us into one so he "Won't look weak on national defense."

Chickenhawk is another word for the Red Tailed Hawk one of the best raptors there is. A Hunter of the very best breed and I doubt that any DUmmies would disparage the talents of said hawk when its after them.
