That's the net number of Republican pickups in the House in the 2010 elections.  Rep. Dan Maffei (D), first elected from New York's 25th Congressional District in 2008, has thrown in the towel, conceding defeat to Ann Marie Buerkle (R).  The margin is about 567 votes, give or take, out of more than 209,000 cast

There's apparently still 3 more undecided, all Dems, but likely stay Dems, but the (R)s might pick up one.

This means that a total of eight seats, IIRC, in NYS' House delegation flipped from D to R.

I forgot if we're at 64 or not, but I caught a report on the radio that there is only one House seat still being counted.
