The White House and the Department of Homeland Security indicated today that they won’t yield to demands to amend new airline passenger screening rules that have been decried as wildly intrusive.
On the contrary, administration officials are quietly and aggressively defending the policies against what they see as a media frenzy of distorted information. For instance, the administration noted that fewer than one half of one percent of the 34 million passengers who traveled on airplanes in or to the U.S. last week were subjected to crotch-area pat-downs.

The STOOPID is really strong in Obama's Administration. My Stupidometer breaks every time. I need to get a new one and they are not cheap.

So strip searching little Timmy at the airport is perfectly ok with these morons...but you mention one thing about eavesdropping on a conversation with a terrorist and this same group of idiots will scream to the high heavens about "rights violations"! :hammer:

[A House staffer who attended the briefing] said that several House staffers were so uncomfortable they averted their eyes when the TSA demonstrated an enhanced pat-down in the room of 200 people.
“The dumbest part: they did two pat-down demonstrations – male on male, and female on female,†the House staffer said. And they used a young female TSA volunteer “and in front of a room of 200 people, they touched her breasts and her buttocks. People were averting their eyes. The TSA was trying to demonstrate ‘this is not so bad,’ but it made people so uncomfortable to watch, that people were averting their eyes.â€
“They shot themselves in the foot,†the staffer continued.

1/2 of 1 percent? Can I throw the bullshit flag?
And for the record, I'm guessing that Achmed wasn't in that 1/2 of 1 percent, but little granny or a 3-year old boy was.

no, the waterboarding outrage was overblown. first of all, years had passed after it's end by the time it was a topic of conversation, but most of all because the whole country agreed with aggressive interrogation when the actual decision was made, and because, other than letting another 3,000 americans be murdered, there wasn't a viable alternative.
there IS an alternative to taking dirty pictures of minors and giving senior citizens anal probes; it's called behavioral profiling, and it has been successfully used to keep israeli airline passengers safe for decades. in fact, it works better than dirty pictures and anal probes.
this administration is just too scared of it's own press coverage to use it.

If Obama thinks the patdown outrage is overblown, let's see how he feels when Me-shell is fisted in an airport.
Better yet, his daughters. That oughta put a nice bit of outrage on that.

Airports are for mere mortals. Gods incarnate :puke: do not condescend to convey their glory in such indignity.

Let Imam Barrack Hussein Obamadinejad actually go through the procedure as well as his wife and kids.
See if he down plays that shit then.

If you did a TSA pat-down to any random person on the street, you'd be liable to get arrested if you didn't get a beating first.

I have been listening to Beck and Hannity off and on this week. Both shows have had several active duty and retire LEOs calling in stating that even they would need probable cause to do a pat down like the TSA is now doing.
Judge Napalitano (sp?) is a Constitutional expert and states flat out that the TSA policy is a clear violation of the 4th amendment.
