Cavity searches have not been ruled out. They simply have said they have no plans for them.

These are snippets from a story on AOL news. The story, however, is not exclusive tho them and others are reporting it, too. It is based on statements Pistole made.

"But Pistole said that current intelligence does not support the threat of bombs being placed in body cavities, and he disputed reports that an al-Qaida-linked terrorist last year used a bomb placed inside his rectum in an unsuccessful attempt to kill Saudi Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef. Pistole, a longtime veteran of the FBI, said reports that Abdullah Asieri had secreted the bomb inside a body cavity were "inaccurate" and not supported by the forensics he had seen."
"We are taking some risk by not doing any screening , but it is the balance of what is the appropriate level of risk versus screening," he said."
Let's keep in mind that we already have in wide use the technology to communicate with implanted/internal medical devices. We can recharge batteries and reprogram devices. Nothing Pistole said rules out cavity searches. They will not shy away from suggesting them, and implementing them if they can.

So his complaint here is: TSA might actually order cavity searches if the intel profile merits such action.

If I were intent on discrediting a president from the opposition party, one tactic would be . . . .
. . . . to get whatever is left of his base pissed off at him for the perceived abridgment of their fundamental rights.
This could be done easily if I had control of the media. I'd have the media run stories trumpeting each anomalous transgression, real or imagined. I'd play every cell phone video.
I would then do followup stories showing the common ground based on outrage at these incidents between the normally opposed political parties. I would report how one side is turning up the volume, only to be matched, then outdone, by the other party. Repeat repeat, repeat.
Soon enough, the target, the incumbent first term president, would be hanging out to dry on the clotheslines of *both* parties, all alone.
The foil to this sort of tactic is very simple: don't do shit that pisses off your base and smacks of the sort of thing that moron you replaced would do.

So, in 1 post the whole TSA thing is a fabricated drumbeat to discredit the president but today we have to be on guard for federally-mandated fisting.

Actually, Lord Horatio Nelson, the sparkling husband primitive, gets "off message" quite a bit.
I blame it on those, uh, "additives" the sparkling husband primitive's wife adds to his drinks, because she's in a hurry to get his life insurance and run off with the horsey Mrs. Tutweiler who lives down the street.
At any rate, as we all know, the sparkling husband primitive has been actively campaigning to be among the TOP DUmmies [PRIMITIVES] OF 2010, but he can relax on his inconsistent ramblings now; nominations are coming up, and I'm pretty sure he's going to be nominated.

Yep. The one group that goes out of it's way to cause a problem screams the loudest if it's feelings get hurt. There are a few honest muslims but they are far between.
