NBC asked Conan O'Brien to book a certain celebrity during his "Tonight Show" tenure ...he refused
Conan O’Brien refused to book Sarah Palin on NBC Tonight Show
November 18, 2010

Conan O’Brien stood up to NBC in a number of ways during his brief Tonight Show run, regularly ignoring suggestions from the network on how to boost his ratings, but one act of defiance stands out in particular: Conan declined to book Sarah Palin as a guest, even after the network asked him to. The former republican vice presidential candidate, former republican governor of Alaska, and current Fox News employee was never booked on Conan’s Tonight Show, says NY Times reporter Bill Carter in a chat with PopEater, as O’Brien blocked the move. Palin has become a champion among extremist conservatives but is generally considered a patently offensive pariah by both liberals and moderates.
Suffice to say that Palin will never surface as a guest on Conan O’Brien’s new TBS show either, as Conan ostensibly has even more control over this new show than he ever did at NBC. Interestingly, after NBC ran Conan out of town and Jay Leno was given back the Tonight Show, Leno immediately booked Palin as a first-week guest despite continual claims on Leno’s part that his show is politically neutral.

Oh good for you, Conan! You begged NBC not to bring Palin on your lousy show so that you wouldn't be embarrassed when you got shut down by Sarah herself. Coward! By the way, I have not even tuned into your show on TBS. You are NOT funny! Leno dances circles around you in the late night slot.

11. He would have chewed her up and spit her out
had he been forced to have the twit on his show.
The NBC poobahs should have been damned grateful he refused.
:lmao: Yeah...sure he would have... In reality, Conan's head would still be spinning as Mama Grizzly was feasting on his still warm carcass. Hate to disappoint, but that's the truth. I'm sure the poobahs at NBC are breathing a sigh of relief that Conan chickened out. Lord knows they don't need any more embarrassment.
And the thread goes on with everyone patting Conan, and each other on the back. Insults flying all the way.

They were trying to help his ratings and the DUmbass was to stupid to see it.......so he lost his job.
-
Conan who?

Conan O'Brien: An untalented and humorless douchebag on NBC, an untalented and humorless douchebag on TBS.
Conan could put Jesus on his show and he'd still find a way to frig it up.
-
And look where it got him.

Well, that kind of explains a couple of little things right there, dunnit?

That's not a circle jerk...it's just a bunch of jerks in a circle.

I'd rather watch the other Conan.

Liberal talk show hosts, comedians in particular, aren't very good at debate. Oh, they have the gift of gab as part of their job and they're good at following a carefully scripted set of talking points drawn up by their writers, but they have no real desire to analyze or learn the facts required for seriously considering what their conservative guests say.
I've seen it happen a thousand times with Jon Stewart or Bill Maher or Whoopi Goldberg and their ilk. The conservative will toss out a fact or figure they are unprepared for or have no answer for and they'll immediately come back with some idiotic non-sequitur or snarky strawman which their (usually liberal) audience laps up and begins laughing like hyenas, which effectively drowns out whatever point the guest was making. Then they switch subjects quickly to prevent the conservative from coming back. Usually the conservative is too gracious to press the point and just follows the host's lead.
That kind of exchange is what the DUmbasses consider "chewing up and spitting out" and "handing them their ass." Then again, they necessarily have to set a low bar for their "victories," so few and far between they are.

Ruby Rhod is a better host than Conan.
