Voting method questioned after Bristol survived over Brandy   Updated at 10:09 PM

After Brandy was booted from “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday night, a solid source at “DWTS” told me, “People here went crazy.

“Not only was everyone stunned that Bristol will be in the finals,” the staffer said, “it just made everyone realize the voting system really needs to be changed. This is going to lead to a reworking of the entire voting system.

If they don't want the people to choose the winner then they need to not have the people vote on it.
They made the rules of the show and because a Palin won they get all pissy.

1. This is a repeat of the Adam Lambert / American Idol vote rigging

These kinds of viewer voting shows encourage this kind of behavior, especially when a religious (anti gay) or political (Sarah's daughter) component is in play.

The whackos have too much influence on the results.

Sadly you guys act the same way during elections if the people vote in a way that you don't like you want it negated. If they vote your way then you are all for the will of the people.

You know something DUmmies this is a TV show and means nothing in the scheme of things. The fact that it pisses you off so much is hilarious.

From the quoted article...

Quote
While Brandy put on a good face for the public and on the show, both she and Maks Chmerkovskiy (her partner) were reportedly “livid” backstage — extremely upset about the outcome. Chmerkovskiy told E! Online the voting system is “flawed” and added, “This season has just been ridiculous since day one.”

No, the show has been ridiculous since day one - how could it be anything but a popularity contest when voters decide the winners?

I can't help but believe that if it were someone that the liberals love that couldn't dance but was still winning, there would be no issue.

They don't need to worry about changing the voting system.  After Bristol leaves, nobody will be watching.   :lmao:

You mean like when you "DU" an opinion poll? :clueless:

Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind, and all that.

Jess, come on--you've seen their attempts to inject their viewpoints into everything.  They have to be dominant in every aspect of their pathetic little existences here on Earth.

I confess....I have watched this show every season...and truly enjoy the competition night, though I do not watch the "results" show.

While I have never voted, it is popularity driven...either by who the star is, the professional, or by talent/improvement.

I think in the past, there have been good dancers who were "voted off"....simply because the people who vote, may have thought that "everyone else" would vote for a particular dancer, so they opt to vote for someone else.

I do think that Bristol has been kept on by a variety of voters. Tea Party people, Conservatives, those who like her mother are obvious.

However, I have also wondered if people have voted for her, just to be able to continue to mock her failures. The media and comedians have shredded Bristol ever since it was announced that the girl would be on the show. They certainly don't want her off the show, as it would eliminate a "hot topic" every Tuesday and Wednesday. She's been mocked, put down for her lack of dancing skill, and poor parenting skills "because she is abandoning her child to go off to Hollywood"... ::)

Bristol has made tremendous strides in her dancing ability. She is finally starting to unfreeze a bit and show some emotion. She had taken every criticism from the judges to heart, and made the changes that they requested.

While Brandy was quite good...and as she herself said, she understood music, musicality, which made learning the different dance steps and routines easier for her than maybe someone without a music background. That, along with being a professional singer, dancer, actress, performer gave her quite a head start on many of the other "celebrity" dancers.

The problem I had with Brandy, and if I was a voter would have kept me from voting for her....was her professional dancer partner. He's a self-centered, egotistical, abusive jerk!! I'm sure many mothers, seeing the way he "coached/taught" Brandy, felt the same way, and therefore would not vote for them, just because they didn't want HIM to win!! On one of the shows, there was a clip of their rehearsal, and he was smacking her as his way of teaching. He was smacking her on her arm, her leg, her tush. It was not done as a joke or teasing, but as a "method" of teaching! When questioned about it after their dance, by the judges, she defended his teaching methods and said they worked for her personality, he said that was "his" was of teaching and it was effective. The judges were very critical of his "methods" and voiced them. To which he basically said, his teaching methods worked and they didn't know what they were talking about. The fact that Brandy was accepting  and even defended his teaching skills, was quite disturbing to me. I would think it would be to a lot of women, and it's predominately women who watch and vote.

Just so everybody knows--and this is something that is good for everybody to know--and please remember to congratulate our esteemed colleague "Godot showed up."

Godot posted this here:

http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,50539.0.html

and for whatever reasons, the wacky left web-sites and message boards picked it up, including Andrew Sullivan and some Jezebel place habituated by dykes, and linked to it, roaring in self-righteous indignation about "manipulating" polls.

This has brought tons of traffic to conservativecave the past two days.

A Hell of a lot of traffic.

So thank Godot for helping make us famous.  It's great!

Just like politics, it would be a lot better and easier if the 20% of the population that are liberal just made all our choices.

Neve watched the show, may never watch it but I'm going to call in and vote for Bristol a few times.

we need a bumper sticker:

Piss off a liberal.  Vote for Bristol

I don't watch the show either, but I enjoy watching liberals squirm like nothing else.

So these idiots are worried about a TV show that mostly teenage girls vote on, Sarah Palin's new book, Glen Beck's audience, Morning Joe getting suspended, etc. etc. but have they said anything about chief thief of the Democrat Party, Charley Rangel, who was in charge of the tax code, claiming to not understand the tax code?

Do they understand that by Charley cheating on his taxes, he was denying them, personally, their single payer health care?  Charley Rangel is the single payer.

What does it say about a person who actually gives a shit about a dancing show and who wins or loses?

If this is you, I have a few suggestions:

--Turn off the TV.
--Turn off the computer.
--Go die in a fire.
