"Let's see if the guys can beat you," says Alex Trebek. Really?
He said that to a female winner of tonight's "Jeopardy" referring to the finals of the tournament and I'm a little ticked off.
The young woman played very well and even beat a male Yalie in the final. Did Trebek HAVE to say that?
Maybe he could just say "Let's see if the other contestants can beat you." Wouldn't that be better?

$kimmer needs to change the DU thongs to briefs on Cafe Press. Perhaps they won't bunch up as much.

6. You're on DU to complain about phrases used by game show hosts?
Whatever floats your boat.
:lmao:

10. Just thought it was a little raw for a female contestant up against two guys.
I don't think she NEEDED that remark. I thought she did perfectly fine against her competitors. I doubt that SHE wanted to hear what Trebek said.
So I was amazed he said it...such a blast from the past...it was an anomaly...when do folks make remarks like that, anyway?
Pretty strange, no?

Although I have endured my fair share of abuse about it on the job (mostly good-natured... mostly) and with friends and family.
Still don't understand what's so "bad" about being Politically Correct.
People who are PC walk around with their DU thongs all bunched up. They annoy the hell out of normal people.

DU cares about women! As long as they're not Sarah Palin.

Here's the backwards thinking. All for political correctness. And then the DUmmies wonder what is wrong with the Nation. But then again, the DUmmies and liberals are part of the problem.

Don't spoil Jeopardy for me! I'm on the west coast and cannot see this supposed sexism for another 20 minutes.

Knowing the DUmmies, I wouldn't doubt if the offending episode didn't air three years ago, and it took them this long to figure out they were insulted by it.

Well I know that it's college week and the finalists were two guys (well, they were kind of girly) and an actual female. So I'm sure they are talking about tonight's episode.

I used to watch it all the time, but the local ABC and NBC affiliate stations swapped, and I don't even know if it's on here anymore.

The OP must know that Trebek is a conservative.

The OP must know that Trebek is a conservative.
I never knew that.
I figured he was probably a lib since most people on TV are.
So that means Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy both are hosted by conservatives and they usually are back to back. :lmao:
-
See, I never knew that Trebek or Sajack were conservatives.
We are watching Wheel of Fortune right now. We make sure to watch it every night. I even went to a try out for the show, but my name was never drawn out of the box. It was still fun though and I will go again when they come back. :)

DUmmie thongs must be lined with 80 grit sandpaper.
