Healing
You have probably heard it said that the country is going to hell in a hand basket. I disagree, I think it's going to hell on a rollercoaster.
You can't watch a newscast without hearing about some horrendous killing of college coeds or murder of innocent families.
The A.C.L.U. and others are doing their best to separate the United States from God.
The internet is inundated with attempts to ruin the reputations of good men and women and many of those who are fanatic about saving the life of a mass murderer lawfully sentenced to death will not so much as raise a finger to save the life of an aborted child.
Girls as young as 12 and 13 are having babies every day and suicide is one of the leading causes of death among teenagers.
Politicians look innocently into the lens of a television camera and lie to the people they're supposed to be representing.
The Russians are rattling their sabers again and we all but ignore it, acting as if they're our friends. The Chinese poison us with products containing lead and we keep right on buying them.
The price of oil is at an all time high and Washington is more concerned with steroid use than doing something about the price of gasoline and inflation is raising its ugly head again.
Terrorists stalk us within and without and laugh at us while an impotent Congress argues about whether or not to allow wiretaps.
Yes we're in a mess in this country, but you know something, there is no other place on God's green earth that I would choose to live out my days. When I leave Tennessee I want to go to Heaven
Oh we've got problems all right, serious problems and they seem to get worse all the time. But what's causing our problems is simple. America is going against the grain.
America has turned its back on God and this country was never designed to operate that way. This nation was conceived and founded by godly people.
Mentions of God are all over our national monuments and our federal papers. Our greatest leaders were men who prayed and acknowledged God's place in the life of this nation.
America is not broken, it's just bent, it's not ruined, it's just damaged. But mankind and government cannot turn it around.
America needs to be turned back over to its maker. He knows how to fix it.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray
and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from
Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Holy Bible - 2 Chronicles 7:14

"In America"
We'll the eagle's been flying slow, and the
flag's been flying low, and a lot of people's
saying that America's fixing to fall. But
speaking just for me and some people from
Tennessee, we got a thing or two to tell
you all. This lady may have stumbled but she
ain't never fell. And if the Russians don't
believe that they can all go straight to hell.
We're gonna put her feet back on the path
of the righteousness and then God bless America
again.
And you never did think that it ever would
happen again. In America, did you? You never
did think that we'd ever get together again.
Well we damn sure fooled you. We're walking
real proud and we're talking real loud again in
America. You never did think that it ever would
happen again.
From the sound up in Long Island out to San
Francisco Bay, and ev'ry thing that's in between
them is our home. And we may have done a little
bit of fighting amongst ourselves, but you outside
people best leave us alone. Cause we'll all stick
together and you can take that to the bank.
That's the cowboys and the hippies and the rebels
and the yanks. You just go and lay your head on a
Pittsburgh Steeler fan and I think you're gonna
finally understand.
And you never did think that it ever would
happen again. In America, did you? You never
did think that we'd ever get together again.
Well we damn sure fooled you. We're walking
real proud and we're talking real loud again in
America. You never did think that it ever would
happen again.
...and...
"This Ain't No Rag It's A Flag"
This ain't no rag it's a flag
And we don't wear it on our heads
It's a symbol of the land where the good guys live
Are you listening to what I said
You're a coward and a fool
And you broke all of the rules
And you wounded our American pride
And now we're coming with a gun
And we know you're gonna run
But you can't find no place to hide
We're gonna hunt you down like a mad dog hound
Make you pay for the live you stole
We're all through talking and a messing around
And now it's time to rock and roll
These colors don't run and we're speaking as one
When we say united we stand
When you mess with one, you mess with us all
Every boy, girl, woman and man
You've been acting mighty rash
And talking that trash
Let me give you some advice
You can crawl back in your hole
Like a dirty little mole
But now you're gonna pay the price
You might of shot us in the back
Now you have to face the fact
That the big boys' in the game
And the lighening's been flashing
And the thunder's been crashing
And now it's getting ready to rain
Chorus:
This is the United States of America
The land of the brave and the free
We believe in God and we believe in justice
We believe in liberty
You've been pulling our chain
We should've done something 'bout you a long time ago
But now the flag's flying high and the fur's gonna fly
And soon the whole world's gonna know
This ain't no rag, it's a flag
Old Glory red, white and blue
The stars and the stripes when it comes to a fight
We can do what we have to do
Our people stand proud
The American crowd is faithful, loyal and tough
We're good as the best and better than the rest
And you're gonna find out soon enough
When you look up in the sky
And you see the eagle fly
You better know he's a heading your way
Cause this ain't no rag it's a flag
And it stands for the USA
USA
USA
USA
Repeat Chorus

This is from his Greatest Hits album.
Pledge of Allegiance, borrowed from Red Skelton:
As a schoolboy, one of Red Skelton's teachers explained the words and meaning of the Pledge of
Allegiance to his class. Skelton later wrote down, and eventually recorded, his recollection of this
lecture. It is followed by an observation of his own.
I - - Me; an individual; a committee of one.
Pledge - -Dedicate all of my worldly
goods to give without self-pity.
Allegiance - - My love and my devotion.
To the Flag - - Our standard; Old Glory ;
a symbol of Freedom; wherever she
waves there is respect, because your
loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts, Freedom is
everybody's job.
of the United - - That means that we have all come together.
States - - Individual communities that have united into forty-eight great states. Forty-eight individual
communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to
a common purpose, and that is love for country.
And to the Republic - - Republic--a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives
chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people; and it's from the people to the
leaders, not from the leaders to the people.
For which it stands
One Nation - - One Nation--meaning, so blessed by God.
Indivisible - - Incapable of being divided.
With Liberty - - Which is Freedom; the right of power to live one's own life, without threats, fear, or
some sort
of retaliation.
And Justice - - The principle, or qualities, of dealing fairly with others.
For All - - For All--which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine.
And now, boys and girls, let me hear you recite the Pledge of Allegiance:
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it
stands; one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country, and two words have been
added to the Pledge of Allegiance: Under God. Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer,
and that would be eliminated from schools, too?
