The problem is not that Obama has not been selling. He has never stopped selling. The problem is that the American people aren't buying it -- because they are not buying him. The American people are not foolish; the problem is not with the sales pitch. The problem is, in part, the product. As Obama himself once said, a pig with lipstick is still a pig. But the deeper problem is that so many American people no longer find the salesman credible.
The most important product the Obama campaign sold was not a package of legislative proposals. It was Obama himself. Obama was sold as a transformational figure, a savior from ruin. The intensity of hatred for Bush was transferred into the intensity of adoration for Obama, who would deliver us from the Bush wilderness. Obama was "lightworker,"

Hi,
I trained salespeople and managers for almost 40 years. One thing I taught was there was no way you could sell a bad product or idea because people are smarter than that. You might get away with it for awhile but it will catch up with you.
The democrats governed against the will of the people. Obama says the public needs to learn more about the health care bill and they will like it......sorry BO, we know what we need to know, told our legislators how we felt and they choose not to represent those that hired them. They governed against the will of the people. We did our job, the town hall meeting and polls made it very clear how we felt and you choose to ignore us. Continue with the process and more of them will get fired in 2012.
I can hardly wait to see Nelson thrown out on his ass here in Florida. There are already many who are speculating that he will retire. What a shame that would be, would much prefer to see him fired.
