McALESTER - Members of a Kansas church that protests at military funerals may have found themselves in the wrong town Saturday.
Shortly after finishing their protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey of McAlester, a half-dozen protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to their minivan, only to discover that its front and rear passenger-side tires had been slashed.

Karma is getting to them.
The Church got off lucky this time, a couple of slashed tires, no big deal.
My reasoning is, I was there when my son was born, and photos and eye witnesses will swear I was there at the funeral.
How in the Hell these people have survived to cause overwelming suffeing to others is a mystery to me.
They travel with kids in their cars as they use them as shields agains repercucusions.
They use the kids to protect themselves from harm.
**** that shit, Children have been used in wars way back in time, and the WBC is using them again as human shields.-------War is hell aint't it, remember Wacco.?

One of the comments goes into a fair amount of detail on how the Phelps Cult essentially funds itself through litigation. Most of the family are lawyers to one extent or another (not sure how true that is, but that's what the commentator said) and thus they make their living through lawsuits and legal action.
The warning to the persons responsible for the tire slashing was to make sure and use masks, don't drive a vehicle that has a legible plate on it, to assume that the next funeral they're going to protest will be taped, etc.
Armed with this evidence, they'll go after anybody and everybody since they don't get any support or assistance in Topeka or anywhere else they might be.
Seems like pretty sage advice. :II:

Those asswipes were lucky thats all that happened to them. Last week an entire town was closed off to them by the townspeople closing off the city at every possible point of entry. People are seriously tired of thier bullshit and its going to get to the point that it won't matter if they have tapes or not,someones going to do something and those tapes will dissappear along with anything else they brought with them.

It's true. They'll sue even faster than the ACLU, and tend to win...and win big. Shirley Phelps-Roper is actually a State of Kansas employee, I believe. :thatsright:

The Phelps Ministry is very hard not to become violent over. Are there no laws on the books about inciting violence, hate speech and intentionally disrupting a Church Service, town meeting or the Easter Parade?
What is going on when in the last few years it is OK to arrest people interrupting a Gay Parade and political protesters.
Some one has to give the Phelps permission to hold their protest at a funeral, who are these hide under the desk fear full town administrators that have a fear of a law suit from just a few monsters.?
I have seen in my life how towns work, and there is no reason they cannot demand the Phelps put up $100,000 to insure all is peacefull. You know, insurance and the cost of a police detail to insure their safety. Any money left over will be returned to the Phelps if all goes well.
Any way one looks at it these people are making themselves a target for violence. There must be a law that we can use to PROTECT these people from harm. { Sarcasm}
