This is the 2nd movement of the aforementioned Symphony of Sorrowful Songs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symphony_No._3_%28G%C3%B3recki%29). A 1992 release of this symphony - with soprano Dawn Upshaw, conductor David Zinman, and the London Sinfonietta - has sold over one million copies - considerable for a classical recording.
