YOKOHAMA, Japan – The scene after President Obama’s meeting with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard showed just how long of a trip his nine-day Asia excursion has been – for all involved.

Quote
"I knew it must have been an Australian because my folks never say thank you," Obama replied
Leader of the free world, all he wants is a "thank you".

Did you hear the audio from Obama calling a Chinese reporter a Korean?  And then before even finding out if the man spoke English, he wanted a translator.  After that, once he found out that the man was not Korean, he told the man he wanted a Korean reporter, not a Chinese reporter, to ask a question.

It was all kind of jaw dropping for a "tolerant" president.  Michael Savage had the audio yesterday.

...Apparently operating under the "If you're going to step on it, you might as well grind it into the gravel while you're at it" theory...

And yet, had this happened to Bush, it would have been front page, above the fold stories for WEEKS.

Don't believe me?  Google the phrase, "Bush wrong door."  275K results.

I rest my case.

When I was in Hong Kong, it was nice, but a little unsettling that a Chinese person would speak PERFECT English w/ a British accent. That's one thing I LOVED about Hong Kong. The language barrier was minimal, at worst.
