13-year-old Cody Alicea rides with an American flag on the back of his bike. He says he does this to be patriotic and to honor veterans, like his own grandfather, Robert. He's had the flag on his bike for two months but Monday, was told to take it down.
A school official at Denair Middle School told Cody some students had been complaining about the flag and it was no longer allowed on school property.

How about the school official grow a pair and tell the kids who have been complaining about the Flag to suck it up and respect Cody's right to free speech.

That is absolutely nuts.
The superintendent says "the school will focus on the students who are causing uprisings (from the article)." Not clear if he means they will be watching those of the type that object to the American flag, or watching those who may give thugs a reason to gripe - must mollycoddle the whiners.
Adding: Glad the school reversed its' decision on the flag.

thats good to hear but it shold have never gotten to that point. Anyone who is offended or feels uncomfortable about seeing the American Flag displayed correctly needs to get the **** out of this Country ASAP.

So,...what I should do is, drive around with an American flag on my bike and see if some douche bag, i.e., socialist/communist/liberal complains about it. It will more than likely, be a short discussion. :wink: :-) Very short discussion.

This is total BULL SHIT.
One telling moment was when the school supervisor made the remark that the boy should be allowed to fly HIS flag. Not Our flag but HIS.
I also find it disturbing when the boy said if he was so ordered to remove his flag he would fold it and put it away. WTF kind of thinking is that, why is he not being taught to fight for the flag, is it because he is being taught that standing up for his country could get him hurt or killed.?
No one has taught him about our fights for freedom from the revolution on about children only a year older then him lied about their age to enlist and face death to protect our country.
In order to protect this child he and family must give up all rights to show loyalty to our country to appease non Americans ??
No freaking wonder the country is in trouble, we are giving in to the punks in school to dictate how and what they want over the constitution and the laws of the land.
Why give the kids and parents the liberty to celebrate May 5 on our land. The Superintendent did say there were some problems with that celebration.
Anyone remember when history and movies told of small towns being "Treed" by outside bandits.??
The towns that were scared to death turned in their guns to the new comers and faced the loss of everything they had. A story or two of the people gathering in a local church and the bandits blocked the doors and set the church on fire killing all inside.
Then the towns that fought back, sure people died but they ran the bandits out of their town.
I had a gg uncle Chris that unlisted at 14, lied about age and followed Teddy Roosevelt into Central America. He was outfitted in a black suit and given the job of picking Collera victims off the streets and disposing of them.
He lived to a ripe old age of 90 or so and never regretted his crazy youthfull lie to serve his country.

Hundreds of American Legion Riders and fellow patriots escorted Cody Alicea to Denair Middle School this morning. They all had American Flags on their bikes.
