and other events through the 17th.
It's good to see that the torture president's airbrushing is being bucked by SOMEBODY.
Also, if you haven't seen it already, there's a non violent direct action out of FaceBook here:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=126089424106953
with a thread just for DU (come in and represent!):

The People's Response
to the George W. Bush Library & Policy Institute
Accountability for the past. Democracy for the future!
Accountability is the hallmark of a mature democracy: no one is above the
law! Remind past, present and future administrations that the
truth cannot be buried or changed, and remind the public that the same
ideologues who crafted the Bush policies of the last decade will be writing
a script for our future. Will this think-tank develop the same kinds of
policies that brought us pre-emptive war, economic crisis, environmental
disaster, unprecedented presidential power and diminished civil and human
rights? Act now to prevent history from repeating itself!
A peaceful, nonviolent march & rally will coincide with the George W. Bush
Presidential Center groundbreaking. Join us for a series of events that
will move us toward accountability for the past and democracy for the
future!Dallas, Texas

Doug's stupid ex-wife has usually been pretty highly ranked, but never number one.
We'll see, though; there's plenty of talent.

I just thought of something.
Rove was brilliant in having Bush release his book right after the election.
The left is already pissed off for losing the house, now Bush is on TV driving them insane all over again.

Oh God Bless. Today I had a dentist appointment @ 7:30, so I came in late. Was delayed WAY more than I thought I should have been because my direct route took me through this, a Bush book signing.
Only a handful of protesters showed up this morning carrying signs that read "No one is above the law" and "Torture is illegal," referring to the former president's support of waterboarding as an interrogation tool. They were greeted with a chorus of boos and quickly escorted away.

In all the time since W moved to Dallas, it is the only time I can recall that traffic was obstructed for him.
What a bunch of blowhards. I know we have Liberals here, based on the voting records, but damned if I can find em anywhere.

Give it up already losers. No one cares. You will only make Bush more appealing to more people. He is a better person than Obama could ever hope to be. Are you going to charge Obama with war crimes for using predator drones to drop bombs on "brown people" or for continuing two "unjust" wars? ****ing hypocrites.

Geez, that guest list for the "protest" sounds like a who's who of moonbats. But where's Michael Moore and/or the Ditch Bitch Cindy She-hag? And Wee Willie Pitt wearing his cowboy hat? How about some 9/11 troofers to complete the insanity, like Alex Jones? That would be an all-star cast.
-
I ended up watching the whole hour of Hannity's interview with Bush last night. I hadn't intended to but I found myself not wanting to change the channel. It was refreshing listening to a President who actually loves America and its citizens, not a cold idealogue who is looking for ways to "transform" the country into what he thinks it should be.

Can you post the link to that, maybe? I couldn't find it! :banghead:

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....snort...what? Oh sorry, I fell dead asleep just reading the schedule of events. I swear I'm going to strive to be a very good person, and do good deeds every day, and say my prayers, because that is exactly what Hell will be. Earnest ugly moonbats in sensible shoes, droning on endlessly. No cocktail party on the schedule, no fun to be had, anywhere.

Thanks for posting that, Deb! You're much quicker than I finding these. Another observation -- George W. Bush is 10000+ times more interesting to listen to than Mr. Teleprompter/Mensa member. I can't sit through a single answer of O's during one of his press conferences because he can't seem to put together a clear concise sentence to save his life :banghead:

They're always protesting something from the safety of their keyboard. Like it or not the man was president. They need to stop living in the past and get on with their pathetic, useless lives.

18. there is a big difference between "Us" and "Them"..I was there
Without exception...everyone was kind,respectful...and no "self-importance"..The famous were right next to the regular folks...all wearing black, all showing respect for the troops and civilians killed to profit the Bush Legacy.
The other side of the street had very loud "Support Republicans" "Waterboarding was a good thing"...you get the picture.
We thanked the police officers for their kindness.
I'll post more when my tears dry.
Thanks for all that were there in spirit...
:lmao: :loser:
These people would get a lot more done in life if they would just stop crying.

Ever seen those helicopters that pick up the big bags of water from a lake and dump it on a forest fire?
I wonder how much it would cost to have one do a flyover of the protest and release a huge bag of wet manure...
