How much longer can the American lifestyle sustain itself?
The UAW reports that union membership is at its lowest level since 1941 ... fewer than 475,000 members.

GM (or was it Chrysler??) has announced it will start using some Chinese-made engines. GM is working on a completely Chinese manufactured car for US intro in the near future.

The Chinese Marketing Consortium (actually, I mean WalMart) has hinted they, too, could start selling a Chinese car soon.

So there you have it. Our once vaunted auto industry is shit. Our biggest domestic brands are .... Japanese.

At the grocery today, almost all the produce was from non-US sources.

We graduate fewer scientists and engineers than a frightening number of other countries. US 'ingenuity' is way overrated. Our young people are getting less and less actual education as we teach only to some bullshit tests.

Our entire economy is running on credit.

Our food prices are up as we divert land that was once used to raise food to raising grain for ethanol fuel stocks.

We import damned near everything. No country can sustain that sort of trade imbalance very long.

Well, sparkling primitive, I'm surprised we've lasted this long, with all the damage your socialist friends have done.

Well, I dunno, orchidectomized sparkling husband primitive.

I have no idea how much longer the American lifestyle can sustain itself, given that non-productive people are outnumbering productive people.

Probably you should look at Skins's island, to see how bad it's getting.

So, only 475K more to go, eh?

Wanna build the country back up? Destroy the unions, start with the NEA, enact the Fair Tax, and repeal the 16th Amendment. Next, repeal the 17th. I'd say the 19th, but we'll see how this goes first.  :-)

The Universe, as far as we know, is ever expanding so I would say as long as the Universe continues to expand, so can the American lifestyle, as long as we aren't acted upon by an opposing DUmmie force.

Compared with the wealth available in the Universe, we are all living like pikers.  But, in our defense, we can only be as wealthy as we believe we can.  And most of us have never even set foot off this planet.  So, what the hell could we possibly know?

Mere babes in the woods is all we are.  But give us a little time and we'll even be able to cure DUmmie-ism.  Just have a little faith.

Oh yeah, never forget, tomorrow's needs will be met by tomorrow's resources.  So, enjoy today!  I know I am.

The "American Lifestyle" is however we are choosing to live at that moment. If in the future leaders take away our freedom of choice in the name of "fairness" or "saving the planet" then yes, the "American Lifestyle" will disappear.

The main problem today is our government is spending too much which impairs our ability to choose how we want to live.

How do these people make it through an average day. It's a good thing there isn't a comet flying by otherwise they'd all be cutting off their dicks and waiting for a spaceship to take them away.

Since it sounds like one of our largest organized crime syndicates is on the wane, I'd say things are looking pretty rosey!
