5. Do you live in Oakland? I do.

And not the "nice part." Yes there are problems with the police here, but there sure are times that I'm not sorry to see a "worthless porker" in the neighborhood.

And if you look at the picture of that woman being arrested -- think she's one of "the oppressed?" And she's probably not from Oakland. I'll lay money that she's a member of a far-left cult, the Revolutionary Workers Party, which parasitizes every local movement and genuine grievance and uses it as an excuse to break random car and shop windows -- thus bringing on The Revolution and the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, of course.

I'm fine with them being arrested.

After which utter mayhem at the campfire ensues, sticks and stones and bones flying willy-nilly all over the place, the primitives jumping up-and-down getting red-white-and-blue in the face wiggle-waggling their armpits at each other.

The primitives on rampage.

Not a pretty sight.

It does no good to bring any of it over here; one has to see it in its original glory.

I never knew that breaking windows and setting fires was one of my civil rights?

55. um... what?

im a moderate.
im labeled a flaming liberal because i have common sense.
but in my personal opinion there needs to be a balance between gov and private sector.
we are so far off that balance it's not funny.
having a universal health program is good for everyone, especially business.
having a slightly xenophobic, protectionist trade policy does the US good.

i find these anarchy groups detrimental to the cause.

and do i really need to point out how ****ing WAY OFF and WRONG the cops are?

This reminds me of a story my Aunt used to tell, during the Vietnam War people of course were protesting, and there was a black woman my Aunt knew, her son was in College and told his Mother he wanted to go out to protest, he Mother told him no because people were being arrested at these protests and were going to jail, she told him not to forget that these "kids who are protesting go home at night to their cushy homes and nice lives" the OP reminded me of this story because these "anarchists" aren't people from the neighborhood, they're white and they come from their nice little communities and start fires and riot in "black neighborhoods" and of course when they get out of jail they go back to their nice cushy homes and existence, they don't live in those neighborhoods that they try to burn down.

That may be true somewhat, but there are quite a few rioters from the neighborhood there.   many of the riots that happen in the minority areas are done by the minorities. It's a different story when the protest is more government related than just police related, that's is when the leftist elite riot.

I just couldn't read much of it. I didn't read what it was about, only the replies.

But the cop bashing on DU is so out of control, and something the admins obviously believe in, that I can't read too much of it. It doesn't help me that I can't respond to it, so I had to click out of it.

Even when some cops are assholes, and yes  I know that many can be, I can't sit back and let ALL of them get oinked (come up with something newer and better please) and lambasted. Not going to read it anymore. I know a cop. Hell I know several. But I am related to a former cop/former MBN agent/now trooper. Closely related. I know the life threatening situations he's been in. I'll be damned if I let some fat ass bastards at DU sit there on their fat ass and make fun of and down every cop out there anymore. I just can't read. It makes my blood boil.

Hey DUmmies.

The cops are the agency of the city's executive branch.

Maybe the mayor is a fascist and you should run him out of town on a rail.
