How to Fight Back - It's as Easy as A, B, C...
Edited on Fri Nov-05-10 10:04 PM by demwing
A. Let's cut off the DNC, and give $$$ directly to a list of only our most progressive candidates.
B. Let's double down - organize a rally in DC to promote a very simple 5 point plan:
1. 1. Fix HCR AND Medicare by opening Medicare to ALL Americans. Call it "Americare"
2. 2. End illegal war, redeploy those military troops into a "Domestic Corp of Engineers" to build roads, fix bridges, reinforce dams, build a national, public transportation infrastructure, refurbish our schools, etc...
3. 3. End Corporate person-hood.
4. 4. REAL equal protection - end DADT and Gay Marriage Bans
5. 5. Open the previously mentioned "Domestic Corp of Engineers" to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or orientation. Hire 12 million civilians in the first two years, reducing unemployment to pre-recession levels, putting earned money in the pockets of those who will spend it in the community, creating demand for supplies and services, thus creating new jobs in the private sector as well.
C. Pledge to Obama that if he fights-REALLY FIGHTS-for this 5 point plan, he'll get our support in 2012. If he doesn't, he won't.

Good idea keep pushing the policies that a majority of us vetoed on Tuesday.

10. What a kick off that would be
Can you imagine 150,000 people in protest WHILE congress is sworn in?
How about banging pots and pans together to drown it out?
:lmao:

11. I think that even the Tea Baggers might support Medicare for All, if we sell it like that.
not that I give a **** what they think. I just like it from a marketing standpoint.
What say you?
Yeah because us Teabaggers love nothing more than even more Govt spending. :mental:

17. 6 point plan. No tax cuts for the rich nt
There are no current plans for taxcuts for the rich you idiot.
The plan is not to raise any taxes. Once we get the Bush tax cuts permanent then, we may start focusing on tax cuts again.

The only way it is going to happen, my dear little DUmmie, is the only way it ever happens with Progressives: You need to find someone far more talented than you to leach off of.
John F. Kerry drew thousands to his rallies in 2004 by having Bruce Springsteen open for him.
John Stewart had a whole line up of popular acts to draw his crowds.
This brings up the point as to why progressives are so unpopular: Nobody wants your ideas. They have been tried again and again and they have failed and brought misery to millions of people world-wide.
When people go to see Sarah Palin, it is because she is espousing ideas that work. No matter what you think of Sarah Palin, she can do what 90% of the population seems incapable of doing at times: She can recognize ideas that work, even if they aren't her ideas she will promote them. Couple that with the fact that she loves her country, unlike you DUmmies and progressives in general, you have have thousands who come to see her and hear conservative ideas.
All you guys do is gather a big crowd to hear a currently popular, usually shallow, musician, then bore them with your anti-American hatred and they cheer the music and then they go home feeling bad.
Unlike your very small and insular population at the DUmp, most people want to feel good. We actually feel dumber if we are feeling bad for no reason and we feel smarter when we choose what we want to feel good about. You guys feel intellectually superior when you are finding things to hate about the country that gave you everything.
Hello! Is this thing on?
So, for your scheme to succeed, it isn't hard, you just have to realize that people will only be coming to see Bruce Springsteen and your International Answer speakers will send them home with a self-loathing headache and they will stay home on election day because you are enforcing that feeling.
-
Duke, not even the presence of Springsteen could get me to a Kerry rally in '04. And I love Springsteen's music.

Be that as it may, he drew about 10,000 in Madison if I remember correctly. And they marched many of the students to city hall afterward to vote early.

3. 3. End Corporate person-hood.
What is this corporate person-hood you speak of? I haven't seen IBM or any other company walking down the street. OTOH , if you are talking about the fact that they can donate to political activities then we should eliminate all corporate taxes. Otherwise those who own the company, and work for the company have no say in government. Taxation without representation ring a bell?
If we are going to go that route, then lets do away entirely with PACs and and all the other lobbying groups, including the unions, and all the environmental groups.
And do tell us what all those people will do to earn that money? Workfare doesn't work, to many of you idiot liberals think it is demeaning for the people to pick up trash or other menial tasks that those people are barely qualified to do.
-
Go for it, Democrackheads, I'd love to see you move yourself from 'Unpopular' to 'Detested.'

That alone will get you killed DUmmie. Most* of those on the welfare/disability rolls do NOT want to work. That is one of the biggest breakdowns you idiots have. They just want you to throw eating and drinking money at them.
*I know there are some on welfare/disability who are there simply for the hand up not the hand OUT, I just think they are in the minority*

Yeah, we should tax the heck out of those evil rich people that have small businesses that employee people. After all, why do we need businesses in the U.S.?!We should sit on our asses and let the gubberment dictate to us what is good, what isn't, how much to pay us, and what to do/not to do.
You single brain cell people. :mental: :banghead:

hold on now-
You are just not thinking this through. 12 million people, regardless of age, sex, race, all put into the labor camps working to build roads to nowhere, bridges across feilds, schools where no one lives, being paid in worthless government script. Of course, the camps won't be where the people are or want to live, so they willbe forced to move and kept in camps. You'd see thousands of people on the sides of the roads cutting grass with swingblades.
Hell- they would make the old Soviet Union look like a socialist candyland.
-
Yeah, like my son joined the Marine Corps to build roads! Please! There's a name for a country without a military: victim! BTW, if you see a Marine thank them. Nov. 10th is their 235th birthday. My son went to his Marine Corps Ball last night. He called me afterwords. It wasn't a lucid conversation.

Problem with DUmmie logic.
This five point program is NOT fighting back. Its a legislative agenda that can only be accomplished by Rat control of the house. Rats do NOT control the house. we do.
Fighting back means regaining lost ground. These five points are moot. They will never happen.
This parrot is no more.
I know the English language and semantics are lost with most primitives. And maybe I'm expecting too much from Skinners inmates...I just wish they could stop using drugs for a while and make a coherent argument.

Truth to tell, it sounds a lot more like Pol Pot's Cambodia than the USSR, when ya put it that way.
-
Liberals are always obsessed with fighting "back." It never occurs to them to fight forward.
You guys understand fighting forward - fighting proactively without any compromise and standing by your principles - and most liberals don't. That's why y'all keep stomping them, and that's why real leftists like myself are tired of them.
It isn't you guys who have destroyed the left. It's the poser left represented by liberals and "progressives" like so many on DU who have done that.

And I can guarantee you those 12 million people will NOT be allowed to leave the camps, not to spend the pittance liberals pay, or even to quit or look for real jobs. The children will be indoctrinated. Worship will be denied (Its a govt camp, liberals hate people worshiping anyone but the elite). and Armed guards will have to be deployed to prevent escape from the hellish conditions.
Yep, a true liberal fantasy.

Good GOD. And they wonder why we hate them so much?

A. Let's cut off the DNC, and give $$$ directly to a list of only our most progressive candidates.
What's stopping you from doing that on your own? I think you just want an excuse to shut down groups you don't agree with.
B. Let's double down - organize a rally in DC to promote a very simple 5 point plan:
Didn't you guys already have a couple of rallies? What happened?
C. Pledge to Obama that if he fights-REALLY FIGHTS-for this 5 point plan, he'll get our support in 2012. If he doesn't, he won't.
Don't lie to yourself... it only makes you look dumb. You're going to vote for him and you'll like it.

The reason one adheres to principles is because, in the long run, adhering to certain principles proves profitable and life-enhancing. In other words, certain principles, the successful ones, adhere to reality and human nature.
Why would anybody on the left be willing to adhere to leftist principles? How do leftist principles affirm and enhance life?
It could be argued that the left was destroyed before it ever got started because leftist principles can only lead to self-destruction and despair.

There's a reason they call it the "Mad City," Duke. :p

That's because liberalism is a mental disorder. They think ass backwards. No forward thinking with them. Common sense is out of the question. Bring up economics and you have a full out catastrophic meltdown.
