Title: 100+ years since republicans held this many offices in S.C.

The last republican to hold the office of U.S. representative in this district was............a black man....Robert Smalls...over a 100 years ago. The number is the same but the area covered has changed but still....interesting.

Starts off kind of flat, blah-blah-blah, but then the democrats enter the picture and it gets interesting, voter intimidation, fraud, etc....just like the democrats of today.... :rotf:

I've been waiting for the MSM to damn us with faint praise for electing tim scott and nikki haley on tuesday . . . since we're all miserable bigots and racists here in SC and all . . . :whatever:

Here's a list of all the blacks to ever serve in the House of Representatives. If you go down the list and click on the republican ones....they mostly served during reconstruction and there is a lot of interesting history in there (to me anyway).
