A great series on Showtime. Season Two premiered last night.
Girls get to oogle John Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII.
Guys get to fantasize about Natalie Dormer, who, playing Anne Boleyn, takes her clothes off a LOT.
If you've missed it, Season One is out on DVD.

I think I missed the new episode because I was watching john adams. or I caught part of the new one. not sure. and what the heck was he doing in that bowl, and didn't that poor attendant have a really, REALLY crappy job. :-)

I started watching mid to late last season - not a huge fan but it's somewhat interesting.
How about that guy that got boiled last night - that was pretty disturbing.
-
So we could have seen these two going at it as opposed to John and Abigail? :-)

in the forest, in the bedchamber, in the dirt . . . . apparently nobody did anything but have sex back in those days.
and, curiously enough, into a pot of some sort that some guy was holding. I never did figure that one out. at least we didn't see john adams doing that. :-)
-
Well I guess it's a blessing in disguise that we don't have Showtime. :-)

unlike john and abigail, at least they got undressed . . . usually . . . for the most part. :-)

Seriously, this is REALLY good.

Uh, yeah, well, Laura Linney is not as hot as she used to be.
Paul Giamatti isn't exactly eye candy (:puke:)
This series is good, like Rome was good....but for some reason, this show leaves me longing for more...I wonder why that is

I watched it. I liked series 1 a lot. Yesterday's episode seemed a little slow to me, except for the poisoning plot subplot's pay off scenes.
But this subplot made me laugh:
The queen is still making your shirts!
What! How dare she! She knows she is supposed to be in the parlor eating bread an honey!
Anyway, I am sure it will pick up in upcoming eps.

I just love The Tudors. I'll admit I find myself yelling at the television because of the "creative license" they take with history but it is entertaining and addictive.

Like I CLAVDVS? There was a min-series that grabbed you!

I just rented the first season and am DVR'ing this season. I've watched the first DVD that has the first three shows. All in a row. :-)

I love I, Caudius. At the end of the Rome series 2 DVD's in the commentary the producers tell the viewers to demand HBO remake I Claudius. Which, I always felt Rome was sort of like a prequil to Claudius.
Capt. Picard has a small role in Claudius.
