Get the day off, honor the vets, be patriotic, you get the gist. What do you think??

2. I'd like a new

holiday for voting but this is a good alternative.

Unfortunately I think we need a holiday for primary voting almost more than the full elections.

Voting is a privilege, not a right.  You just want another paid day off work.

3. Need to change more then the date....

should be a week, with easy and extensive pre-voting.

Pre-voting?  You a-holes just want more time for fraudulent voting.

They can open it up to a week of voting as long as ID is required. and you can demonstrate that you do not get EIC, SSDI, Section 8, or welfare.

Ahhh, the good old days when only men of substance were allowed to vote.....then they allowed the lessors to vote themselves largess from the public coffers and it all went to hell.

Those who live off the taxpayers should not be allowed to hire politicians to raise taxes and disburse greater benefits.

Personally, I'd make an exemption for Disability recipients. Someone born blind should not be disenfranchised and their number are relatively small.

Great idea DUmpmonkey, but maybe we could expand on your idea...

In order to vote in any election, you have to either produce a DD Form 214 (Honorable Discharge), Military ID (Active or Reserve), Military depedent ID, or a Retired Military ID at your polling place.

The UAW won't go along with it. They had Veteran's Day changed to Nov. 15th; the 1st day of deer season.

I thought one would have to have a job to have the "day off"?!
Second, I think you should catch the next flight to China.
