Bottom Line: Americans are ignorant and fearful

All they know is capitalism. To Americans, Socialism is the same as Communism. And the commies are the bad guys right?

Tonight is Fear. Not intelligence. Not rebellion. Not a referendum. FEAR.
Progressives need to do a better job of explaining and educating WHY we are doing what we are doing.
The Auto Bailout is NOT a govt takeover of the auto industry, but try telling that to a Tea Bagger.

Americans are AFRAID of govt control of Health Care. Pallin did not help one bit when she used the Words "Death Panels." The Town Hall fiasco was a direct result of runaway fear. The Tea Party is 100% fear. Fear of change. Fear of color. Fear of Muslims.

Win or Loose, we need to spend the next two years reaching out to the masses and gently bringing them up to out level of understanding. Education, not sound bites. We need a campaign--not for an office, but for an idea. The media, TV sitcoms, commercials, everything has to be brought to bear to educate the masses. We need vigorous defenders to stand against inevitable attacks.

If we loose the House tonight (as is being projected at 8 PM central time), Then we will see the true enemy. Its not a party or a movement: its ignorance and fear.

Disagree with me if you like. But does this make sense?

I despise Republicans

As I brace myself for the news that BROWNBACK is the new governor of my state, and KKKobach the Secretary of State, and that too ****ing many Republicans have lied their way into positions of power in other states and in the House and Senate, I feel so ****ing angry. Republicans are DESTROYING this country. Republican voters vote against their own best interests, they're too ****ing uninformed and mis-informed to know it, and they refuse to believe anything that the Fox Propaganda Network didn't tell them. Of course, Republican congressmen vote only for the best interests of their wealthy constituents who give them lots of money, thus lining their own pockets and "war chests". When they say they represent their constituents, they don't mean you and me--and they don't mean the easily confused "little" people who voted them into office.

After Republicans severely ****ed up our country, we were beginning to make some progress. And now the reichwing will have a stranglehold on the political process and nothing will get done at all. Well, except for tax cuts for the wealthy, and the destruction of social programs that kept a lot of people afloat. Oh, and more restrictive laws regarding abortion and gay rights, and of course, funding for endless war. Those ****ers. Those ignorant, propagandized, self-centered Republican voters. And those greedy craven lying Republican politicians. I despise them all.

Excuse my language.

Uh oh...we're in for it now...

Of course Americans are fearful. They wanted to think the talk of Obama before the election was just mean rhetoric. Americans got a taste that what they elected lived down to the negative rhetoric and worse. IMO, given the chance, Americans would have done something in the first year if that was possible to change out an element of the leadership in Washington...they figured out quickly they made a mistake. I'm not going to call Americans stupid for electing how they did 2 years ago. Americans can be intelligent and rational and make a mistake.Americans are a hopeful and generous people. Their inclusiveness(contrary to what the race baiters would like to peddle) got many otherwise intelligent Americans swept up in what, basically, a snake salesman was selling. Americans like to vote to send messages of displeasure. I don't think Americans counted on the liberal faction winning all 3 branches 2 years ago. Washington, take heed, Americans are once again voicing their displeasure. GOP would not have had the success it did if Americans were happy with how things have gone or at least were willing to give Obama and dems just a light tap on the wrist. I believe Americans would have loved to been voting for President last night too. God, how I wish...

You do that. More power to ya.

Just don't mistake loud and obnoxious for relevance.

Hey smartest people on the internets: you don't send editorials, you send letters to the editor.  Editorials are written by the editorial board of the newspaper, not moonbat citizens, numb-nuts. :mental:

Yep, pretty much.

Nope, it's more like anger and disgust.

You did, we didn't want it, you lost.  Got it?

The Auto Bailout is NOT a govt takeover of the auto industry

When the government dictates who is on the board and tells the stake holders to take a flying frig, it's a government takeover.  But I really don't expect a mouth breather, such as yourself, to understand that.

Americans are AFRAID of govt control of Health Care.

For good damn reason, DUmbass.

Pallin did not help one bit when she used the Words "Death Panels."

Truth burns lying assed liberals like holy water.

The Town Hall fiasco was a direct result of runaway fear.

More like a direct result of government not working by the consent of the governed.

Quote
The Tea Party is 100% fear. Fear of change. Fear of color. Fear of Muslims.

 :rotf:

Talk about being fear born of ignorance.

Oh, yes, DUmbass, that is exactly what you need.  More talking down to the citizens of this country like they were children.  Yeah, ****o, run with that.

Got that in 2008.  Unfortunately, for you, it didn't survive it's first contact with reality.  Your ideas never do...

Only to a brain damaged liberal would his fellow citizens be the "true enemy".  Look no further than that, lurking DUmbasses, to figure out why you lost.

Not one damn bit, but you tards never make sense.

This is the classical example of why stupid people should not be able to breed.
