1. I don't have a running total but I was noticing the same

and frankly, in the large scheme, I like it. Redistricting anyone?

I do DUmmy

Republican Hold
TX, AL, NE, SD

Republican Pickup
OK, KS, WY, MI, TN, PA

Democrat Hold
AR, NY, NH, MA, MD

Democrat Pickup
None

Total R- 10
Total D - 5

This is as of 2130.

I guess that counts as doing well on the Island.

Well, remember, the primitives think an unemployment rate of 10% under the Big Zero is better than an unemployment rate of 5% under George Bush.

Odd, the way primitives think about things.

True. And if they look at the way things have turned out, they may assplode. New numbers up in the live election thread. Rs have done very well in Gov. races.

This despite how in NH, the Legislature, Senate, Senate seat, and one if not BOTH Congressional seats go back into GOP hands.  (Clarification--the US Senate seat is a hold.)

In fact, the numbers I'm getting indicate the GOP is going to have a veto-proof majority in both houses here in NH.  They're already calling Lynch the GINO (Governor in Name Only.)

Oh, and where he won by 30 points in 2008, he won by less than 5 today.

Not exactly a resounding victory, DUmmies.

At least Andrew Cuomo in NY is projected to have a Republican-controlled NYS Senate to deal with, which means that redistricting will take a D out as well as an R in the US House delegation.

Karl Rove was just on talking about how this is a huge advantage to Republicans since we have a majority of the Governorships and have a lot of Legislatures.

Dems lost 3 governorships in rust-belt states. That is a blowout.

That's my glimmer of bright spot from my neck of the woods.  I haven't gone thru all the reading material, but R's did well for state legislature around here.  I hope Cuomo won't be a disaster.  We just can't afford moonbattery.

I worked on the Paladino campaign, even though it was a long shot.  I felt like I had to do something.

BTW, congrats to NHSparky for the good show!  I was thinking of you last night (I watched with some neighbors, and didn't internet).
