Well Tonights Trick or Treaters and the Fun I Had

...Tonight my wife and I had about 25 T&Ters...... about the eighth door knocker the neighborhood republican mom stopped by with her 10 year old daughter and I was the one to answer the door.....The girl was dressed up as new age Witch with a long black haired wig on... So I told my wife to come and take a look at her, about half way to the door I said I think its a Christine O'Donell trick or treater...her mother first laughed until she figured out what I was saying then got smirky on me, my wife stood and told the girl what a delightful costume she had on as I made my way to the kitchen.....when I returned I put a variety of candy bars and skittles in her bag and wished her luck for lots of candy then I handed her mother a Lipton Tea bag and said "here you go something to sip on Tuesday night to watch many of those politicians you voted for go down the drain"
Guess what....she and her daughter went down the sidewalk quick....I found the bag half way down the sidewalk.....Oh well it was fun.

BTW, how does a "new age witch" dress? Don't they wear long, frumpy calico dresses with beads and Birkenstocks and smell slightly of b.o., sandalwood, and garlic hummus? Somehow, I don't think a kid would go for that.

I think the dummie better retrieve that tea bag, although I think he is going to need something a little stronger than tea for Tuesday night. Might have to burn some of those hemp clothes in the fire pit outside at about 11 pm. That should do it.

Here's what I did when the local lib that I know well who lives near me came to my house with her family, the kids were adorable, hubby and I fussed over them, we gave them their candy, we talked about how chilly it was and where they were heading next for candy, and we were laughing about the decorations that the kids curiously looked at, we told them to have a fun night and stay safe.
How boring of us!

My Halloween Bouncy. I was not home for the trick or treaters. They egged my house. Tonight I get to go home and clean dried egg white off of my front windows that should be cooked crispy, as the windows face east.

Well it would be the perfect pick-me-up for his first day out looking for that new job. :-)
Ahhhh I can picture the scene now. Damn Freeper troll showing up on the doorstep with a nice hot steaming cuppa tea with a nice cinnamon stick swirling gently around the rim. Freeper rings the doorbell and you hear the pleasant DING DOOONGG of the bell. Cursing and mumbling as the DUmbshit rattles up the basement stairs.
The whoosh of wind ruffling the hair and the cinnamon stick as the door is thrown open, a snarling WTF DO YOU WANT!!!!! bellowed out the door.
A pleasant smile with a devilish twinkle in the eye as our hero holds the cup forward and sweetly says. "We took it all last night. We got our Hope & Change. Here's a nice cup of tea for you. I know you'll need it to start your new life as a working stiff. Life as you know it is now over. Welcome to adulthood."

All of the houses that had "Obama" and "Moving Forward" poster boards had their lights off yesterday. Granted, it was only two, but still. We should have knocked on their door and demanded free candy anyway.

No trick or treaters came by my hotel room. I have no idea if any came by my house, but if the last 3 years are any indication, they didn't. Not the best area to trick-or-treat.

Pretty much the same here. I made over how pretty the princesses were and pretended to be scared by the devils and spooks. I made sure I had plenty of candy so I could let the kids get a handful and beers or hot chocolate for the moms and dads that wanted one.
My house is quite popular on trick or treat night. I had a blast! Didn't dress up this year... couldn't find my coveralls and gas mask.
Funny thing though... politics never came up once the whole night.
