Title: Trick or Treat
Post by: unbiased on October 31, 2010, 06:02:43 PM
There I sat.  On my front porch, dog by my left side, bowl of candy at the ready and a frosty beer, in a non-see-through cup, to my right.  After maybe 20-25 kids, I got one who came up to me dressed as a pimp.  Purple coat with white fur, hat with a feather, cane, thick gold necklace and gold tipped boots.  I thought the costume was genius.

Then, after I gave the little boy a blow pop, his mother starts berating me for drinking a beer.  Apparently she could smell it.  As she went into her tirade, I maintained complete eye contact with her.  I didn't frown or make any face what-so-ever.  After she was done, I calmly took another sip of my beer.  I guess she was expecting a comeback or something.  When I offered absolutely no response, she walked off in disgust.

I then sat in amazed wonder at how a woman can dress her 8 year old kid as a pimp and then judge me for drinking a beer.

Hahahahaha! Funny. It is your house, and you can drink a damn beer anytime you like. How dare someone berate you for that? Especially someone who dressed their kid as a pimp? Wtf? Was she his ho?

Hey, do you live in Las Vegas?

We went to a guys house who was sitting on his porch with a big bowl of candy and a cooler.  He even offered us some if we wanted it, but we politely declined.

We did see some 8-10 year old girls dressed in very questionable outfits.  It disgusted me that a father (if he's in the picture) could allow his daughter's to dress like that.

Oh, goody--daddy's little hookers parading around, but God forbid an adult drink a legal beverage in their own house.

Hey, do you live in Las Vegas?

I actually live in a small town in Ohio (population 742).  We have about as many bars in our town as churches and it is a Sunday ritual to go to church in the morning and eat lunch at which ever local pub you prefer.  So, it isn't like this chick should've been suprised by the smell of beer.  I'm quite sure I wasn't the only one drinking with a 110lb. dog by my side as we passed out candy.  Most of the farmers around here have keg-a-raters in their barns and houses.  I'll bet she was an out of towner trying to cash in on a second neighborhood for her kid.

But, I do admit, the kid's costume was awesome!  It looked like Kramer in that episode of Seinfeld when he had The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and was thought to be a pimp.

That is bizarre, a busybody nanny type who dresses her kid as a pimp.  OK.  We go all out for Halloween, dressing up, mega decorations, etc.  It's like a party, (it IS a party), and so OF COURSE I'm drinking the cold ones.   :cheersmate:

We had 150 of the darling rugrats stop by.  I'm not facing that horde without a little something festive.
