I'm sick of hearing that taxcuts create jobs. It's total bullshit.
Demand for products/services creates jobs.
A widget factory doesn't hire a new worker because of a tax break. Rather, hiring goes on when demand for widgets exceeds the plant's ability to produce them.
The local sewer cleaner will only hire new workers when the demand for sewer cleaning increases to the point where he can no longer serve all his clients in a timely manner. Taxcuts don't have a damned thing to do with it.
Yet, the Dems join right in and sing this taxcut shit straight from the GOP songbook.
I don't get it. What am I missing?

Yeah because in reality food stamps and unemployment checks create jobs just ask Nancy.
:mental:
It's simple DUmmies tax cuts alone do not create jobs. Nothing the govt does actually creates a single job.
However govt can provide an environment that strengthens the economy and businesses can create jobs.
Using the widget factory as an example.
Joe decides to set up a widget factory.
Yes he needs the widget to be good and for there to be a demand for that widget. Everyone knows that.
So let's deem that there is a huge market for his widget.
Now if the govt is going to tax the hell out of his profits what will happen?
The money that he has on hand will be reduced which will in turn take away money he could have used to expand his business. So now instead of expanding and hiring more folks that money sits in the US Treasury and gets divided amongst you goons so you can buy your cheetos and pot.
Now if we don't tax the piss out of Joe he can expand his business, hire more people who pay taxes on their earnings so you goons still get your check every month so you can buy cheetos and pot.

4. going out on a limb here
tax cuts lets people keep more of their money
which they then use to buy goods and services
which creates demand which creates jobs ...
that is the way I understand it ...
I hope you enjoyed your stay at DU.
That is a bannable offense.

21. Tax cuts for the wealthy doesn't increase demand for goods and services
It increases investment and savings, for them.
Hmm and what happens when people invest money?
Oh that's right create jobs.

24. Bush Tax cuts for rich created jobs in the Luxury Mega-Yacht industry....nt
Hell if the rich were buying Yachts jobs would be created. And those employees would go out to eat, go to movies, take vacations, etc.

40. higher taxes on those widgets helps too.
Yeah increasing the price on a product will make sales go through the roof.
It all boils down to the DUmmies all want a cut of the wealth that someone else has earned.
Nevermind that the people who earned that money took the risk, spent their own money, sacrificed time with their families and got off their butts and did something. The DUmmies feel entitled to the fruits of their labor.

Maybe he meant for H and R Block. :-)

I agree with the DUmmie. Increasing taxes creates jobs....as a matter of fact, I think we should increase taxes to the point that the DUmmies actually have to get a job to pay their taxes.

Good analysis Freeper. However, I would add that the widget company uses the tax cut to fund R&D for more efficient manufacture of widget. This lowers cost which is good for the consumer and will the price/buy point which increase demand. In addition that tax cut could be used to fund R&D for widget2. Keeping our widget industry and technology ahead of China, Japan, and Germany's widget technology. That means widget2 gets an even larger worldwide demand and corresponding sales. Or that money goes to the government and to people that do nothing to generate wealth.
As to the sewer system. When increased sales for widget, design of widget2, and manufacture of widget2 more people come to widget's hometown. more base industry means more restaurants are opened (& house builders, developers, stores, cleaners, and ....) which means more crap going into the existing sewer system. Ergo, the sewer system requires more servicing and maintenance. Soon widget's hometown needs new sewer lines because of the influx of people to widget's factory. So more work for sewer company all around. Or the money goes to the government and your congress person may get an earmark for a 'make work' to replace some sewer system that will be temporary.
The DUchebags are not just ignorant but absolutely lacking in any experience of how wealth is generated and that wealth generated moves the statistical mean of the bell curve....a raising tide lifts all books.

Demand for products/services creates jobs.
Yup, because in 1980 I wanted a cell phone. In 1970 I wanted a home computer. In 1960 I wanted to get my money from an ATM rather than going inside a bank.
Wankers.

I'll tell you what you and your DUmmie friends are missing. Plain and simple, a BRAIN! :thatsright:
Or,...should I say a drug-free brain?!

Someone needs to point out an obvious to them;
DUmmies .... if tax cuts don't stimulate the economy thereby creating jobs then why in the hell are so many of you in the malls, Wal-Marts, K-Marts, etc ... on the 'Tax Free' holidays??
Jeeze. All you have to do is go to the store on a day that is declared tax free and it's so crowded you can't even move!

This DUmmie is partially correct, they just forgot the last half of their sentence: "Actually, tax increases on the wealthy and corporations creates jobs in low tax states, due to people and corporations fleeing the punitive tax burdens in blue states.
The below interactive map is a real eye opener.

They usually aren't held on the first of the month when govt checks go out, so most likely the DUmmies have never shopped that week. :-)

Battle Hymn, that map you posted a link to is very interesting, and fun to play with. My own county is kind of skewed due to Fort Drum, but on the whole, it's showing me that people in New York are beating feet to Florida as fast as they can. If you click on Palm Beach County, FL, you see quite a little explosion on the screen.
K&R, as they say at the DUmp.

The best one I found was Wayne County, Michigan (Dee-troyt):
