Title: Will spitting Yankee fans play a role in Cliff Lee's free agency?
Post by: Odin's Hand on October 26, 2010, 10:22:08 AM
This is too funny. The uncouth, yankee assholes that comprise the population of NYC are cutting their own throats with the Lee family.

Quote
"Perhaps the Rangers' greatest sales pitch simply was having Kristen (Cliff Lee's wife) sit in the visiting family section at Yankee Stadium during the playoffs. She says there were ugly taunts. Obscenities. Cups of beer thrown. Even fans spitting from the section above.

"'The fans did not do good things in my heart,' Kristen says.

"'When people are staring at you, and saying horrible things, it's hard not to take it personal.'"

They just can't help it, ma'am. They are bred that way...

There's a reason guys like Greg Maddux & Barry Bonds didn't want to play for the Yankees or in New York period - the a-hole fans.

Guess they did...

Just glad he didn't sign with the Yankees even though I'm a Rangers' fan.

I heard on the radio today that part of his desire to go to Philly might be because they liked the doctor his son had there.  Apparently his son has leukemia.
