Question for November 3
The Republicans and teabaggers are betting very, very heavily on taking at least the House of Representatives, and preferably both the House of Representatives and the Senate. If this happens, they will immediately suspend all House business and begin work on impeaching President Obama.
Here's the question: if the morning of November 3 comes with the Democrats still in control of both houses, how big of a war are we in for?

Ohh you goons are in for a huge war no matter what happens on Nov 2nd.
For 8 years you goons siad never give up well we plan on doing just that, fighting until we can restore our broken republic. I know it bugs the hell out of you when we call this country a republic. :-)

2. 'War' meaning gun battles? My money is on 'not gonna happen'.
The rw'ers have alligator mouths and canary asses.
I've said it before and I shall say it again. If we have a civil war the left will fire the first shot and the right will fire the last shot. In the words of the Boston drunkard, bank on it.

3. I think it will be like nothing we've ever seen!
First of all, they're going to cry voter fraud, since the polls said they would win. Just seeing how divisive it's been for a mid-term election, I am dreading the next two years.
From the people who claim that every republican ever only won by fraud.

4. They'll declare war on bumper stickers.
No doubt we'll see an uprising in disgruntled old racists keying cars and getting all worked up.
More projection. You can find thread after thread where you guys get your DU thongs all bunched up over bumper stickers. You won't find any threads like that here.

Sorry. I don't put stickers on my car. Why would I want to mess up my Jaguar?

I don't either.
Why would I want to deface a perfectly good, rusted out, beat up 1980 Chevy Malibu.
That car is a classic!

If it's rusted out you need some stickers to cover the holes and hold the fenders on....get somebody to print you some Ronald Reagan stickers so you can keep it "period appropriate".

Actually, there's only one hole in it, it's at the back of the left rear tire.

I still miss my '78 Malibu wagon. That car never missed a lick, had a small V8 with plenty of pep, good mileage, and never, ever left me on the side of the road with a 'check engine light'. I really think I could have gone over 500K on it.
ETA.
The best part no car payments and any high school shop kid could fix the darn thing for peanuts.

Ah so true...but that doesn't create jobs so enter big government to make cars better(?).

Mine is the 4-door sedan. I got it free from my neighbor about 7 years ago. It has the 229 V-6 in it with the Turbo 200 (UGH!) transmission. I've had transmission issues for the last 2 years, am looking for either a Turbo 350 or a 700R4 that junkyards don't want a small fortune for. Best I can figure, the engine is original, and the car has 250,000 miles on it. It's living the hard life these days, I've converted it to right-hand drive and use it to deliver mail with.
Like you, all you need to fix this car is a hammer, screwdriver, pliers, baling wire, and duct tape.
If that won't fix it, it's BROKE!

ALL car dealerships loose money on me.
The only time any of my vehicles darken their service department is for warranty or recall work.

Same with us.
Dealerships lose money on us when we purchase the car (we had close to $3,000 knocked off the Jag when we bought it) and then after we drive off the lot. My husband does all the maintenance. And the cars only go in if it's something that needs more detailed work. Neither of our cars have warranties. Dealing with the dealership gives me a headache. Maybe it's because I'm a female, but they have a tendency to talk down to me like I don't have a clue what they're talking about.

Back on the actual subject, the Congress on November 3 is still made up of exactly the same people who constituted it on October 3, nothing actually changes on that score until January, so the whole 'Immediate impeachment' thing is a chimera.
The real question is just how much damage the lame ducks (Who if they lost, no longer owe Teh One, San Fran Nan, or Dingy Harry anything) will stick with the program and try to ram through.

That's been my biggest fear.
Just what will we get if Reid/Pelosi get booted out?
-
Honestly I think a lot of them that lose their seats will start thinking that if there is going to be a political tomorrow for them in their own districts (Reps) and states (Senators), the current triad of Dems is not going to get them there and enough of them will be balky about doing anything too nutso to stymie it. That does not apply to flaming idiots like Grayson, of course.

I had the '83 Malibu. The first car I ever bought myself. My only complaint was that the 8-cyl engine was too damn big! It was hard to get in there for oil changes, etc. I loved that car.

Transmissions at the Pull-a-Part are $60 for both autos and manuals. I almost pulled the transmission out of the same 280Z I grabbed the cylinder head from yesterday, but it was only a 4-speed. I had some penny-pinching ass quote me $500 for the same unit at a junkyard.
-
I had a '94 rag-top Cadillac Eldorado for years. Loved that car. Awful mileage, but me for the marshmallow feel of caddies.
::sigh::I'm reduced to a Civic now.
:hammer: braggin' 'bout the Jag, EC.
Just kidding around. If you've got it, flaunt it.

I bragged to annoy the lurking DUmmies. It's ten years old. It would be nice to have a 2011 Jaguar, but that just is not in our budget until 2021.

This is very true. My last girlfriend had some trouble with her car, brought it to the dealership and they wanted to do this, thius and that to the car. I told her to have the service rep call me and we'll discuss it. That was short lived. lol But, you are right. They do try to advantage of the ladies.

I've had a "Palin" sticker on my truck since a week after the 08 election. It's the 1st sticker I've ever had on my vehicle. I kinda cheated though. I went on line and bought a 12X18 magnet. I stuck the sticker on the magnet and then trimmed it to the sticker size. It's now removable.
Another thing. The only good thing about the trade in a junker program is that it removed a bunch of rusted out Toyota's with a obama sticker on the back

The only problem is the nearest one is 150 miles from me, and he usually has his "anything you can carry 30 feet is yours for $60" sale on Saturdays, when I have to work.
I have a shift kit in this 200, and it seems to be doing very good. it's been in about 2 months now, I've put about 3,000 miles on it, and the oil still looks and smells like it just came out of the bottle! The other one would have the oil smelling and looking burnt after a couple of weeks. I believe it was a torque converter failure that fried the other one. Despite having a cooler on it rated for 22,000 GVWR, it still got hot enough to melt the nylon screen out of the filter.

68 Coupe de Ville convertible here, first year with the 472. That 20 footer gets 15 MPG o the highway and 10 MPG in the city.

What kind of a moron are you? Why would we impeach 0bumbler? He's been a piss-poor President, his policies are laughable, but not impeachable.
I haven't heard a word anywhere that anyone is even remotely suggesting impeachment.
