How is this not a violation of the 4th Amendment?
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

I thought you couldn't be denied buying a house for religious preference, but if I am looking for a roommate, I should be able to specify anything. I'd definitely want a gal. Would that be considered sexist?
This is STUPID.

A civil rights complaint has been filed against a woman in Grand Rapids, Mich., who posted an advertisement at her church last July seeking a Christian roommate.
WTF? She posted it her church, and someone from there complained? It must be a liberal going undercover.
-
So if I want a room mate, I can't specify no 500 pound peter puffers?
-
If she was only looking for a Muslim ........ No problem I bet. This kind of stuff needs to stop. It is getting worse and worse every single day their attack on Christian/Americans.

Hasn't Beck been saying the left is infiltrating churches?

There are many leftists who call themselves Christians, even though they hate it. They become something they hate. Also, I have seen more churches preach "turn the other cheek".

It should be her choice of who she wants as a roomate give me a effin break

"If you read it and you were not Christian, would you not feel welcome to rent there?" Haynes asked.
And if she had specified no smokers or druggies would smokers and/or druggies feel unwelcome to rent there?
:banghead:
Would you all believe me that under fair housing laws when you give directions to the apartment or house that is being rented you can not use a church as a reference point when giving directions to that place? So basically if you say "Turn right at the First Baptist Church" you violate the law.
Crazy aint it?

Pity.
They should also slap her with charges for violating gender equality laws.
She did specify a female, after all.
C'mon civil rights champions! In for a penny, in for a pound.

Nancy L. Haynes, executive director of the Fair Housing Center of West Michigan, which forwarded the case to HUD and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, said the dismissal document she received from HUD acknowledged the violation, but said it dropped the complaint because of constitutional considerations dealing with the freedom of association, a separate issue from fair housing.
I wonder how much backlash they received?
