"I'm Proud That Alan Grayson is My Congressman"

I’m former Congresswoman Pat Schroeder. Many of you know me. I used to chair the Women’s Caucus when I was in Congress for many, many years. Now I’m lucky enough to have Alan Grayson as my Congressman. And believe me, what a delight he is.
I am a proud Democrat, and I am sick and tired of Democrats who are weak. Whatever else you may say about Alan, he is tough. What we need in a Congressman is someone who fights for us, not Miss Manners.
With Alan, what you see is what you get. He is the kind of Congressman that I was – direct. We need a leader, and Alan is a leader. And in all my time in public life, I have never seen a freshman Congressman who is as effective as Alan is.
But Alan is such a delight that all the special interests in the entire world are coming down on his head. And I’m very frightened. It is so important that you help him because, unfortunately, Alan is having to defend himself all by himself, while his opponent has got all the money he could possibly want, being fire-hosed into his pockets by those special interests.
Alan Grayson is out there, working hard. For women, this is especially important, because when it comes to women’s issues, his opponent has a 13th century voting record. We just can’t go back to the 13th century.
So please, as much as I hate to ask you for money, that’s what I am doing. Please support Alan Grayson’s campaign. Because we need your help down here in Florida:

13. Pat was *my* congresswoman, and the only one I was PROUD to vote for!
I have a hand-written note from her with her signature smiley face from all those years ago that I still treasure.
One difference... Pat spoke out more for poor people than Grayson, and I feel left out and ignored by Grayson's constant references to "the middle class" and hardly any mention of poor people, and even then, it's "the working poor". Those who are too old, too sick and too injured to work are left out.
I appreciate Grayson's outspoken stances, but leaving us out is hurtful and damaging.

Seems Schroeder tooks all the millions she suckered off the libs and moved to FL where there is no state income tax. Typical lib, not wanting to pay their "fair share."

If I wanted to elect a frikkin' thief, I'd visit the county jail and back one of them! At least then, I'd know what I was gettin'! He'd probably have better ethics, too!

The young folks won't remember this, but do the older folks remember Patsy Schroeder on the House floor screaming about Rush Limbaugh giving his Mother dog food? Rush was joking about hard times and how his he'll have to feed his Mother dog food, I think this was around the millionth time the Dems said they wanted to end poverty and they were using as examples people being forced to eat dog food.
