Sarah Palin Desecrates a U.S. Flag - video

A Guardian reporter interviewed Sarah Palin while she was giving autographs to her fans. Sarah put her Sharpie marker on a book, a hat, and an American flag. The latter of which is against the law!
According to extant law, "The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature."

That is digging pretty deep. She should know the laws regarding the flag I suppose, but many people don't. I just was told that if a flag is to fly at night, it has to be lit up. I had no clue. Of course I am not Sarah Palin, but still, that is stretching it so far. Come on now.

if she did it, she shouldn't have. the american flag isn't for advertisements or endorsements. I don't know what the remorseful, patriotic individual does to rectify the situation if they have done something along these lines in an unthoughtful moment, but she probably needs to do it . . . whatever that act of contrition may be.

I don't give a rat about the DUmmies view, that said, pretty damn dumb to think you should sign a flag. If it was a full size flag. From the video it looks very much like the interviewer's producer handed her the flag, a decorative yard flag. Shut the eff up moonbats.

It's hard to tell if she did sign the flag and the still photo from the link doesn't show it very well. But if she did , she needs to apologize and do it quick. Maybe say that she was just grabbing the proffered items and signing without thinking while continuing to talk to people.
ETA; Let's not forget all the flags desecrated and thrown on the ground after Lord Zero's coronation, or at any other so-called leftist rally held in DC.

Just so all you ****ers know, my FIL had a full sized flag signed by every one in his platoon at the end of WWII!! He was proud of it! He would die to protect it! We never worried about desecration! Some of the names on that flag accompanied him to the Japan theater after they were done in Europe! 4 of them didn't come home! To him it was a war Memorial!

He had me make a mahogany case for it so he could hang it on the damn wall! It now sits in the nitch in the wall where his ashes are in the Veteran's portion of the Spokane National Cemetery!

Pops drove a tank in Italy! He drove a Sherman, more affectionately known as a Ronson Lighter, or was it Zippo, I forget. He managed to get the hell out after bein' plugged by a German tank! The driver had a hatch in the front in order to make an escape. His buds didn't make it! He ended up gettin' separated from his company and got shipped to Normandy where he drove with the Red Ball Express until Hitler bit the big one! He thought he was goin' to get to go home.
He did, ya know, for two weeks! They then shipped him to the South Pacific. He never talked much about his experience there. I'm pretty sure it was because he still found it painful to remember!
He brought home two officer's swords and a Japanese rifle from his duty there. I have them now as his oldest son died last year.

My Dad served in Korea. We kids all pitched in to get Mom a glass sided display case for the flag that draped his casket when he passed in 1997. She keeps it on her dresser, along with a pic of him in his Army uniform.

If you have an Arisaka(sp) with the chrysanthemum intact those are starting to go up in value a little. My grandfather gave me a type 99 a few years ago that is in wonderful shape that a few of my friends are eyeballing.
