Ok, here's an hilarious reason to vote for Bristol Palin to stay on Dancing With the Stars:

Says Ms. Goldberg (at least partly tongue in cheek, by the way):
"You know. I don't usually get worked up over stuff, especially 'Dancing with the Stars.' Every now and then, I hit my limit, like all of you. But this is beyond everything, even beyond the other day [the Bill O'Reilly incident]. 'Dancing with the Damned stars.' I cannot believe that they cut Florence Henderson...she was voted off the show last night. But the chick in the monkey suit? [Bristol Palin--Godot] She's still there! She don't have an ounce of rhythm. She is still there. Why is she there? She was in a monkey suit!"
Joy Behar said she thought the tea party fanbase is out supporting Bristol Palin because of her mother, former vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, and that's where her votes are coming from.
So if it tees of these idiots, I say keep her on, even though she can't dance for shit (honestly, she can't, and she's not improving). By the way, I checked out the DWTS discussion boards, and they are going DUshit over there about Palin being kept and Henderson leaving!

The old lady and I are going to continue to pour as many votes as allowed to keep Bristol on there, "Vote For The Worst" style (http://www.votefortheworst.com/), for as long as we can.
I think she's an absolute peach, but you're right: the poor girl can't dance, and doesn't seem to be able to put the judge's advice to use.
She hasn't a prayer of winning, but if causes those skanktimonious dimwits to seethe, I'll do whatever I can to keep them that way for as long as humanly possible.

I caught some of it once flipping through channels, and it was BORING! Seriously, a person can't find anything better than to watch that show? Jerry Springer at least has the potential for violence, and drama. The View is just a bunch of gossipy women, if I want gossip, I'd rather find some friends to talk to than listen to it on TV.

I didn't watch this show until 4 years ago. I had no interest in seeing a contest/reality show (eg, I've never seen American Idol); I’d pretty much taken an elitist “it’s all garbage†view of these shows (this, admittedly, from a guy who thinks Man v. Food is must-see tv). I started watching it to make Mrs. Godot happy--there's little in common in our tv-watching habits; she’s a lotta Lifetime, I’m a lotta Chiller and Science Channel. To my surprise, I started to become interested in spite of myself. The antics of the judges were really very funny, and I gradually realized that there really is quite a lot more low-brow tv fare than exhibitions of ballroom dancing.
I think Tom DeLay could have made it a lot further, too, two seasons back, because so many conservatives were voting for him (I was), but he had those toe injuries. Naturally, someone his age really couldn't win, but he was improving, and I thought he had pretty good timing and footwork, and was surprisingly adept at some complex choreography. He needed to unstiffen at the waist and move his upper body more, but he was getting better.
Well, I’m digressing, but, in fact, I stopped voting for Bristol Palin after the second week—I stopped voting altogether (this season is weak). NOW, I’m back on the Bristol bandwagon, seeing as it’s driving a third of the people who live their freaking lives through this show and post to the DWTS boards out of their minds; and now that it’s causing the woman with the Goebbels glasses and her buttkissing fat cow suckup to plumb for even greater depths of pettiness, I’m voting for her until the end. This is more fun than I’ve had with this show in at least 2 years, and is adding some fun to what was a pretty limp season, too.
Like Hwood affirms, she just can’t dance—on top of no technique, her timing is actually getting worse—but at this point, who cares? I just know this is FUN.
I read some posts to the DWTS boards where some took the tack of “are you Tea Partiers really doing Bristol Palin a favor by voting for her?†Well, YEAH, considering she just got to cash another 20-grand check. But it’s not about doing her a favor—it’s about provoking this nuttiness from the libs. This is just too delicious.
Oh, and yes, she’s a peach alright—very cute, and great legs. Needs to shed a few pounds, but great legs. Runs in the family, no doubt.

Gotta differ with ya there, Godot. Plenty of us guys prefer a girl with with some curves. Personally, if a girl isn't at least a size 16, I'm not really interested, but that's just me.

Not a fan of that show at all, but I will agree with Whoopi on one thing. Poor Bristol doesn't have much rhythm. But it is up to the voters. Jennifer Grey is by far the best, but she has some dancing experience obviously.
I didn't care about the monkey suit at all. I think it was good for her to let loose and be goofy, but she isn't a good dancer. Just not her thing. She's definitely improved though.

Hey now, I'm not to hard on women about weight and size. I don't want a skinny one nor do I want a fat one. I do have a pretty good range in between those two requirements so most women fit in there somewhere. A woman should be firm but not hard and soft but not mushy.
