Post by: Wretched Excess on October 20, 2010, 03:42:27 PM
the VP shows up for a gigantic campaign rally and . . . 500 lost souls show up.  rumor has it that some of them were awake and sober.

boy, those dems are energized.

VP Biden touts Reid, Democratic agenda

RENO, Nev. -- Vice President Joe Biden told a partisan crowd he shares voter anger over the nation's ills but that the defeat of Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid would imperil the nation's economic recovery.

Biden spoke for 45 minutes to roughly 500 people Wednesday at a rally for Reid at the University of Nevada, Reno. Reid is in a tight race against Republican tea party-backed Sharron Angle.

Reid is vulnerable in his home state that leads the nation in foreclosures, bankruptcies and unemployment.

Biden repeated Reid's campaign attacks against Angle, calling her positions on Social Security, Medicare, and privatization of government programs "extreme."

Angle's campaign blames Reid and Democratic policies for Nevada's high unemployment and housing crisis.

Because, you know, Reid has done so gosh-darn much to speed our recovery already!

Biden is SUCH an idiot.

ouch.  that's gonna leave a mark.  I think angle's PR people are getting the hang of this.

Quote
"Spouting the same tired rhetoric we've all heard before, Biden ignored the fact that he was standing in a city struggling under the Obama administration and a state with the worst unemployment in the nation," Jarrod Agen, communications director for the Angle campaign, said in a statement.

"Voters fell for Biden's empty promises two years ago, but they won't be fooled again," he said.

more fun with doddering harry reid and our esteemed vice messiah at the raucous reno reid rally (500 stoned students) today:

now, either he mean't "can't" where I have bolded the word "can", or this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.  and if he DID mean "can't" where I have bolded the word "can", then Teh Messiah has finally succeeded in being a "transformative" figure . . . .

he has transformed his vice president and senate majority leader into moderate republicans. WTFF!?!?!  :thatsright:

correction, they are running as moderate republicans.  they will still govern as socialist muslim symps.  I hope people aren't fooled.

"Harry and I know the government is not the answer, but the government can guarantee growth by itself, it can't solve problems, but the government can lay down a foundation for us to expand," Biden said.

Just an FYI, Obama will be in Las Vegas tomorrow or Friday to campaign for Reid.  I don't pay much attention when that asshat shows up.

you won't be missing anything.  he only has one speech these days.  "not my fault.  inherited this mess.  failed republican policies of the past.  they want to turn the clock back*.  car in the ditch.  harry has been helping me push the car out of the ditch.  fighting for the little guy.  evil republicans.  greedy corporations".  blah, blah.

and if any of this bullshit was true, we wouldn't be looking at 10% unemployment.

*like he is in charge of the clock in the first place.  I have always hated that metaphor.

I'd like to see Obama & Reid explain away the 14%+ unemployment in Nevada.

It's Bush's fault.  Obama telling corporations not to have their meetings in Vegas had nothing to do with it.

Oh, of course not!

The Cosmopolitan is set to open December 15th.  Some of their restaurants are already hiring... which is wonderful, but not enough to fix our economy.
