A couple of obvious things:
Regardless how well the GOP does in either House or Senate, you can forget repealing ObamaCare. That turd will continue to hang from Congress' neck like the boat anchor it is. Obama will veto any legislation that remotely restructures that POS bill that nobody read.
The MSM will continue to give BHO a pass (for the most part), especially when he's portrayed as being the victim of a Congress that is out to rip his head off and shit down his neck.
Otherwise, what does the GOP do after the lame duck session is over and it's time to undo all that they can undo?
-
Refuse to fund Obamacare. Send the Obamessiah a budget without funding it. Attach a repeal to every piece of legislation he wants.

I have thought about posting a thread like this myself (What happens on November 3rd?). Assuming that it's truly an ass kicking, I think that everything depends on the margin of victory.
I am sure we will get more retarded lectures from ReBamaLosi, saying that we can no longer be the party of obstruction now that we are responsible for government. heh. in which case, we will hopefully become the party of DEstruction, and find a way to undo everything they have spent the last 20-odd months accomplishing. watch for the MSM to fall back into "worship mode" with BHO.
but I think what will be most interesting will be what happens to the market and unemployment should the republicans win big, and how that plays.
I wouldn't be surprised to see unemployment all but evaporate in the first couple of months of a republican congress. I wonder how ReBamaLosi and the MSM butt lickers will spin that.

It will be thanks to the Dems that preceded them, just like everything bad right now is Bush's fault.

The wheels of progress were in motion during the past four years of Democratic leadership, especially thanks to the hard work of President Obama. The remarkable plummeting unemployment, a booming stock market, and a vigorously growing economy are a direct result of Democratic policies and have nothing to with the results of the mid-term elections.
I can sense that B.S. coming a mile away. (It was almost painful to write, but I know exactly what they'll say)

Wretch, I kinda doubt that will happen. Why? Because the Obamessiah has a multi-billion dollar slush fund that was passed by the Dimwit Congress, and he still can rule by executive order. Also, the Republicans do not have a veto-proof majority in the Senate, no matter how one spins it--not until 2013, when the newly-elected President Chris Christie (or the newly-elected President Haley Barbour) has the votes to suppress a fillibuster.

You're putting this forward and assuming that little lord hussein won't be hounded by every single career democrat alive. Hillary will become their new savior and what time he has left in office will make the last year look like a ride on a girl's bike in comparison.
If November is as big a blood bath as it is shaping up to be, it won't matter what the Republicans do. The libs will be looking to destroy their creation for his destroying their party.

I hear ya. and I don't disagree. but the prerequisite for the republican tsunami that washes away democrat control of congress would be that a majority of the electorate would have declared the democrats liars, and the ReBamaLosi agenda a huge fraud and sham. in other words, if the GOP wins big, it means that people stopped listening to the democrats a long time ago, so they can say what they want.
ReBamaLosi has overplayed their hand. They overplayed their mandate. They have overplayed their own sickening sense of self-superiority. They got elected basically because they weren't george bush, and then they attempted to "transform american society". there is a galactic difference between what we bought, and what we found in the bag once we got home.
a correction like the one on the horizon was almost inevitable the second health care passed via budget reconciliation.

I suspect that after all of the moderate democrats get wiped out, the democrat survivors will decide that they got obliterated not because they went to far, but because they didn't go far enough. you hear it even now; voices on the left saying that clinton lost congress in 94 not because he tried health care, but because he failed. the stupid flockers really and truly believe that. I know some of them.

Oh, I hear ya, and I know the dead enders will believe that. But the practical ones who have had to sacrifice years of their "careers" so little lord hussein could build monuments to himself will not let him get away with it. The sane democrat leadership in 94 understood what clinton was doing and supported him even if it was behind closed doors. Lord zero won't get the same treatment.
But, as they say, we shall see.

we have yet to see how Teh Messina will react to the tsunami. the worst we're looking at is probably gridlock, and to corporations and small business owners, paralysis is nirvana compared to what they have been dealing with.
ReBamaLosi declared open warfare on the profit motive about 10 minutes after the inauguration. what did we expect capital to do, other than to hide? the recession would have burned off by now to a large extent, if not for the socialists, the bet wetters, and the muslim symps that are in charge of congress and the white house.
once we pick off a few of those (electorally speaking), I think businesses will loosen up.

someone is going to pay, that's for sure. the democrat fury will be so huge that it will register on the richter scale.
I am hearing that pelosi is finished as leader of the dems regardless of what happens on election day. it appears as though she is already being set up as a fall guy. harry reid may not even get back to washington. other than Teh MESSiah, there is a good chance that there will be a whole new cast of characters on the democrat side.

Remember last December when Congress went home and the hellcare bill was still not passed? Remember all of the fury and outcry over that in the media and in the blogs? This time it will be priceless!
:-)

Have you noticed that every new batch of democrat "leaders" are more nutty than the last? With this current crop of lunatics, I can't wait to see what the next group will do. If they keep trending the way they have been for the past 20 years, I think we may see the current democrat party dying a spectacular death.

I'm not surprised that dem control of congress will be short lived. I think the country forgot that people like rangel, markey, waxman, frank, conyers, and obey were still alive when they voted the republicans out on 2006. the only reason that the country didn't hit an electoral mulligan sooner (aside from the national obagasm) is because george bush intimidated the spineless dem leadership so much they never came out of their rat holes.
but you're right. the fruitcakes are fruitier, and the nutcases are nuttier.

I heard Glenn Beck say, on his radio show, that each succeeding wave of power by either side is going to be more radical than the one before it. It has to be, IMO, to restore balance. Thing is, when there's political shifts of that magnitude, there is the possibility that the actions of the Left (the immature ones) will start a full-blown, no-shit, shooting-and-pillaging civil war.

Okay, the Election's Over and the GOP Kicks Ass -- Now What?
Personally I hope they sit on their asses and do nothing. Allow nothing to be passed, better yet, allow no bills to come up. Just let the current bullshit the dims have passed come into effect... watch healthcare cost rise, watch the taxes rise, watch the debt rise, watch inflation rise, watch their savings devalue, then maybe by 2012 the public will be ready for some drastic conservatism and curtailing of democrat vote buying entitlements.

I actually started a thread here:

This thread very well demonstrates what needs to happen.
The bottom line: The election is just WINNING THE JOB. However, PERFORMING at the job is necessary. Please review the thread link above.
