the first post-debate poll detects traction for angle. three points is about the largest lead either candidate has had in months.
all she really had to do is show up and NOT be the raving loony that reid has been making her out to be. if she doesn't commit murder between now and november 2, I am feeling pretty good about harry reid's retirment.
Nevada Senate: Angle (R), Reid (D) Still Fight A Close One
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and his Republican challenger Sharron Angle remain locked in a tight race for the U.S. Senate in Nevada in the first survey following last Thursday night’s debate.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds Angle with 50% to Reid’s 47%. Two percent (2%) prefer another candidate in the race, and one percent (1%) are undecided. (To see question wording, click here.)
The race remains a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.
A week ago, Angle held an insignificant 49% to 48% lead in a contest that has been marked for months by its closeness. In seven of eight surveys prior to this one since July, Reid and Angle have been three points apart or less. Both have hit the 50% mark one time.

We plan on early voting this weekend for Angle. Reid seems like he's on his death bed.

I saw one of Luntz's focus group panels of Nevada voters on Fox yesterday morning before work, there were a depressing number of idiots on it who didn't give a shit how corrupt he was as long as he remained in a position to bring home the pork. One of the panelists brought up a very recent crooked land deal which basically involved an apparent complete lack of ethics, and some fat Black woman next to him started hollering about how Harry was a 'Businessman, and that was all just business, what's the problem,' not a defense on the facts of the ethics/corruption/self-enrichment problem at all. Even some of the straight old-school Democrats present had to have been embarassed by that one.

I saw that same group... I couldn't believe that woman. At least Luntz shut her down quickly. :thatsright:

And yet if you swapped the name Harry Reid with George Bush, she'd be calling for his head.
Yet people wonder why their elected representatives are idiots--they get what they vote for.

nothing can make me jump for the remote like frank luntz appearing on my TV screen. watching all of his hamster subjects twist the knobs on their little joysticks makes me wish for an earthquake to strike their location. I don't know where he finds those people, but they are always embarrassing. not to mention the fact that I'm not sure how newsworthy Tom the busboy's opinion is, nor why it is that Tom thinks what he does. and watching luntz dart to an fro on the screen, jamming the mic under people's noses, mindlessly repeating whatever ridiculous thing they just said like it is somehow profound, and then running off to see what the next hamster thinks makes richard simmons look manly.

I share your pain, but it was what one of the Democrat hamsters said that grabbed my attention. Voters that devoid of an ethical compass are why we have the Congress we do.

Reid seems like he's on his death bed.
The plug for his life support system is slowly inching out of the wall receptacle.
-
If Reid were to get re-elected, he will probably die in the middle of his term.

How did Harry Reid get to be rich?

A neighbor lady up here has a cabin, she comes in during the summer. We were sitting on the porch and she said "Harry Reid I just love him, for him to come from such humble beginnings" She lives in Nevada. I just got up and left.
