First Zsa Zsa Huffington offered to pony up about $250,000 for buses to the so-called “Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear†in DC next weekend, and now Oprah has entered the fray to help spread the event with astroturf until it’s mistaken for the Brady Bunch’s backyard.
From Tim Graham at Newsbusters:
“I know that you’ve got this huge event coming up, and I’m really excited about it, because I think that we need a bit more sanity in the world,†she said. “I’m sorry, Stephen, I’m not for the fear part, I’m for the sanity part. And I wanted to show my support for you, Jon, and also for your audience…(applause) so here’s what I did. I had my staff sneak into your studio early this morning with a little gift. Okay?â€
She told the Daily Show audience to look under their seats, where they found red envelopes, which they opened. A woman screamed at the top of her lungs: “We’re going to the rally!†Oprah repeated “You’re going to the rally†four times. “Now get out there and restore some sanity!†...

They're desperate.

How many are in Jon's audience in one night? I've heard the crowd of people laugh, etc before, but it didn't seem like many. 100 or so. Lol. What percentage of that is the Restoring HONOR rally?
Pitiful.
And Winfrey is getting her own network in January of '11. I won't be watching.

That's pathetic.
Oprah should have just bought them all houses.

Call me crazy, but 400,000 folks who paid their own way -- most including plane tickets, hotel rooms, subway/taxi fares, to attend a rally that was about restoring honor says a hell of a lot more than this sweepstakes level giveaway circus that a COMEDIAN is holding and has to beg people to attend.
They can't see how pathetic it all is either can they?

Not at all.
And could you imagine the insults that would have been hurled our way if someone paid for the attendance at the Restoring Honor rally?
If you really believe in a cause, why can't you get yourself there without the help of every other rich person in the country. Oh, and I'm sorry, but aren't the rich "EVIL"???

The "insanity" is them and mocking good citizens who truly are patriots is distasteful. I can see November from my house :evillaugh:
