I've been wrong before and I may be now but I want to go on record:
these midterms are going demonstrate just how biased the corporate media is because the outcome will not at all match their breathless 24/7 predictions of a "Republican Tsunami".
We will retain control of both houses and the majority of the mutants calling themselves "Teabaggers" will wake up November 3rd and find that they don't even have Acorn to blame: the American voters, as dissatisfied as they are, will simply have handed them their ass.
There will be much finger-pointing among the talking heads as they try to find sacrificial lambs to blame for their "errors" in predicting a wingnut landslide. A few more citizens, however, with still-functioning brains, will realize that the predictions were bought and paid for by billionaire businessmen who were trying to shape the group-think one more time.
This time, however, they will have overplayed their hand. Too many people will eventually realize just how damned undemocratic, un-American and downright dangerous having anonymous billionaires and unidentified foreign nations financing GOP attack ads.
The egg on the face will be the MSM's.
The responsibility to deliver will be ours.

Iow, Republicans have zero chance of winning the Senate.
As far as the House is concerned, no one knows, since one third of potential voters still haven't made up their minds.
Politico needs some new political analysts.
I'm betting on Dems winning the Senate with 54 seats at least.

Polls right now are all outliers. The actual final poll will be released late Wednesday Morning when all the perceints are counted.
I would not trust these polls as far as I'd throw.

I don't think there is a real chance the Dems will lose the Senate.
I also don't think we'll see a 40-50 seat loss in the House. I think we will lose somewhere in the 25-30 range.

I've bumped it to 25-30. Little chance of the Senate flipping though.

So lets see, if the Republicans win seats, they can then say I was wrong and they were right, and if the Democrats win they would say my comments supported the Republicans.

:shrug: The arguments from the democrats, assuming the news stories and interviews are correct, are better. Although that assumes they are doing what I assume they are.
However neither have corrected the beer and travel money situation, so one day is not going to make a huge difference.
Furthermore, the news seems to have attached my comments to the Republicans which also makes no sense.

I was phonebanking last night and talked to an elderly woman (81 years old).
She was a lifelong democrat and told me how much it bothers her to hear the constant drumbeat of "Democrats will lose".

I am predicting Tuesday will not end well for the GOP
They have a few problems:
Problem 1: Mitch McConnell's statement that the most important job facing the next Congress is making sure President Obama isn't reelected. I'm fairly certain people with no job, or being thrown out of their homes thanks to mortgage fraud, have a different opinion.
Before the deamoncRATS overthrew Congress in 2006, none of that "no job and home foreclosing" shit existed on the huge scale it does now, after four years of deamoncRAT Congressional "leadership" and two years of the jug-eared Kenyan national occupying the White Mosque!

Don't hold your breath. Here in Oregon I'd be surprised if I didn't wake up with a new Republican governor. And while I think DeFazio will probably pull it out in the end, Art Robinson is doing better against him than anyone has in a very long time.
Even PsychCentral's member poll shows a majority of members voting Republican. You know it's bad when crazy people (that's NOT a slam...I'm a member too) are sick of the left. These are people who depend on meds just to get through the day so health care policy is very important to them. Evidently the "hope n change" health care legislation isn't all lollipops and prozac after all.

I have had previous dealings with DeFazio about ten years ago when I wrote a letter to the editor pointing out, with web site link, his Sr. board membership with the Democratic Socialists of America. What a shit-storm ensued - DeFazio enlisted a legion of his robots writing response letters calling my a liar (follow the web site link morons) or trying to discredit me. Needless to say, the socialists membership roster, all politicians were members of the Progressive Caucus, was removed from their web site within 24 hours of my letter being published.
Now both DeFazio and Kitzhaber are slinging piles of outright lies and mud. I think we have a good shot at the governorship but DeFazio...lots of doped up commie hippies in the I-5 corridor that support their commie-in-kind DeFazio.

On the eve of the election, I do not see gloom and doom. Here's why:
Democrats are turning out in high numbers for this mid-term election. That's now an established fact. Early voting is going our way. Republicans have shot their wad early and we continue to keep showing up to the polls and voting. Every day that passed was a day in our favor.
The lack of cell phone polling makes the establishment poll numbers skewed. That's a fact.
Young people are once again, bucking the conventional wisdom, and are actively participating in this election, establishing a very positive trend. And that's not good news for the GOP.
Latino voting is up this year again. The GOP attempt to suppress their votes has failed.
LBGT Americans are not thrilled with the GOP, but will be showing up overwhelmingly and voting Blue.
The GOP and their Tea Party crowd are at each other's throats.
Democrats have far better and longer established GOTV organizations on the ground.
Finally, I expect another "Reverse Bradley" effect, where a citizen will say one thing publicly and vote another way privately. They may tell a pollster that they are pissed off, and they may tell everyone around them they are voting Republican, but when they are alone, they may do just the opposite as reason prevails.
Americans have not forgotten who caused the economic mess. Americans are not in love with the Republican Party. It is just delusional to believe so.
We will still control the Senate and not by a slim majority either. And we may be able to still hold on to the House of Representatives.
We are the majority. Don't forget that.
Stop the with the gloom and doom and get out the vote where you can help.
The next 24 hours favor us. We are the majority party in America. Let's show them we are.

The Dim base is motivated to get out and vote. The problem that the DUmbasses fail to see is that they're motivated to boot out the oBam-Bam lovers.
We were just given our Health Insurance info for the year. It's not pretty, we'll all suffer but they're not killing anyone but the smokers this year. Get any group of employees together and mention the word Insurance and there's a huge amount of grumbling and mumbling with the words ****ing obamacare being uttered under someones breath. Nobody is happy about the way things are going.
Our only Hope is Change.

I live in Douglas County which is also conservative. I actually didn't think Albany was being so close to Salem. But even in Cottage Grove that has its share of complete moonbats I see more Robinson and Dudley signs than I do dems. I'd settle for the governorship, though. If Oregon reelects Kitzhaber after the mess he left and then declaring the state ungovernable then we'll be California-lite in no time.
