Definitely A. in general, but depending on age and situational factors, B or E could be sound and respectable choices.

B is a waste of time.  the school "officials" are generally eunuchs  who do nothing.  Bullies are the fault of parenting, or lack thereof.  ALL parents of bullies are assholes.    They should be the ones to do the time for whatever the result of their little animals' bullying.  Anytime a bullied kid commits suicide as a consequence of the bulllying, the bullies should go to prison for the rest of their lives.  The parents should be prosecuted for child endangerment.  This is simply miscreants raising animals.

What if the shoe is on the other foot. The queer is harassing a heterosexual?

Lets say he's done B. several times with no results because the queer is a member of a protected class.

B. He reports his tormentors to some authority, i.e. boss, school administrators

This is personal because it involve my son. Fat, fuzzy haired queer has been pestering him going on 2 years now. I see some of the harassment every day when I pick him up after school. I finally told son to just ignore him as best he can but if he ever lays a hand on you, "Take him out. We'll worry about the fallout later"

He recognizes the fact that many kids are bullied, doesn't blame it on his sexuality, then A first, B second, E third, D last.  Every one of my kids have dealt with bullies, all are straight.  Only morons really think bullies limit themselves to one "cause."

There was a pervert bothering my daughter some years ago.  After several times of B, I called and talked to a principal myself and made it clear that I expected him to do something about it - problem solved.  Political correctness aside, school administrators and teachers are still mostly afraid of parents.

A-E

Bullying is a problem. Not just for gay kids, but for all kids. Something has to be done about it. I was never bullied, nor did I ever bully, but I saw it happen. I always stood up to it too. I am proud of that. I was in a small school, so it was easier for me to do so without getting tormented myself. Who knows if I would've stood up against it if it would've came back on me. I'd like to think I would, but I just can't say.

There has to be a no-tolerance for bullying. Teachers, parents, the kids, everyone has to be involved. It takes a village.

Now you have done it Mr. Bunny, you have asked for the $64,000 question on how we would have respect for a gay by the choices they made to react to bullying about their sex preference.

I do not like A---for the reason it may invite a gang bang from the friends of the Bully.

B is also a hard choice if none he speaks to gives a darn.

C is reasonable to a point.

D is hard to prove

E makes the top of the chart, avoid local gay bars, don't throw your sexuality into others faces and as we tell females, don't go anywhere alone at night.

F is insane solution to a temporary problem.

G This thinking will set YOU up for a fall, They say 1 out of 10 people are gay or bisexual, with all the people you meet, and respect, I bet there are are a few that are gay that you do not know about and somewhere in every family there is at least one gay.

The Don't Ask, Don't Tell, has a darn good reason behind it.

I myself have no desire to question the sexuality of any family member or friend--Frankly, I have no interest in their sex lives and I would not welcome questions about mine.

I agree

All bullies I have known had assholes for parents. I was never bullied or bullied anyone but I have witnessed it. One kid in particular had cerebral palsy and was also slightly retarded. He could walk but walked with a bad limp. In high school, every single morning before school, this poor kid was taunted and teased.  I seriously don't understand why kids do this. I remember a lot of kids (including myself) sticking up for the kid yet every morning the same kids would start it all over again. Some of the kids who stood up for him were in turn bullied by the same kids. Some of the bullies were friggen football players.
