If Elena Kagen recused herself from conflicting issues, should Clarence Thomas
recuse himself from electoral issues because of his wife's vocal involvement in the tea party?

1. Yes. But he won't. None of them do and no one does a damn thing about it.

2. He should, but he won't. Recusal is an ethical issue at the SCOTUS
level. Thomas won't play that game. On ethics, he's silent, as he is on most other things. By recusing herself, Kagan demonstrates that she has a clear and active sense of ethics. It's a rare thing.
Remember this guy?

3. He has no ethics
It is time to fix it, it is broken
Yeah. So much for being smarter than us.
I'll leave one of his own kind to correct his idiocy:

4. kind of an apples and oranges comparison
Kagan has recused herself from cases in which, as Solicitor General, she formally participated, either by signing a brief or a memorandum relating to the case. Now, if Thomas' wife or an organization in which she has a role of responsibility was to file a pleading in a SCOTUS case, it would be unethical for Thomas not to recuse himself. But short of that, there really isn't much of a case for demanding his recusal.
lousy freeper troll
...there really isn't much of a case...
Oh, but there is a case. It's the case of a black man not doing what the white liberal establishment wants him to do and being his own person. It's unforgiveable and because of it they will lynch him every chance they get and when the charges prove groundless they will justify their hatred based on little more than he must have done something to earn himself the previous lynching so he must still be guilty.

Again the circular logic of the DUmp needs flushed down the septic tank where it belongs!

I'm not sure that term applies here.
Their complaint is devoid of logic, even flawed. It is pure, raw emotion one might expect from a psychologically stunted mind like an obsessive suitor who cannot fathom being rejected and it is not circular it is as linear as it is singular in its direction: the utter destruction of the object of their rejected affections.
If they cannot have their lover/Thomas/America then no one else will either!

Facts and logic on the island are very lonely travelers.

Considering where it's headed, 'Spiral' logic would be a better fit than 'Circular.'

I honestly don't know how the majority of them made it to adulthood.

I know, Chitown, and a lot of them are getting pretty long in the tooth! Great headline, MSB.

You must be using a very "liberal" (pun intended) definition of "adulthood".

Obama = Bill Ayers in blackface.
Well, that's the idea I got when I read the thread header.

Comparing Thomas to that commie Kagan is laugh in itself. :evillaugh:
